Sacred Heart Boys Remain Unbeaten at Chapman Tourney, Lady Knights Fall To Rossville

The Sacred Heart Knights split a doubleheader with the Rossville Bulldogs on Friday as the Irish Classic Tournament in Chapman continued.

In the girl's game, Rossville jumped out to a 6-0 lead and never looked back. The Lady Bulldogs led 16-1 after the opening quarter and never trailed in the game.

Despite the lopsided score, Sacred Heart never stopped battling. The Lady Knights found themselves down 27 points in the fourth quarter, but instead of conceding defeat, they cut the Rossville lead down to 15 points to end the game.

Katie Weiss led Sacred Heart with 18 points. Skylar Douglas added a dozen.

Sacred Heart falls to 1-2 and faces Bishop Ward on Saturday afternoon.

In the boy's game, Sacred Heart fell behind Rossville 10-0 right off the bat. The Knights came back to trail by one after the first quarter and were down 31-27 at halftime.

Then, the third quarter happened. Sacred Heart exploded for 25 points in the period for a 52-38 advantage and went on for a 16-point win.

Max Ehrlich led the Knights with 26 points. Sacred Heart is now 3-0 heading into a Saturday afternoon matchup with Bishop Ward.
