The sometimes loud and electric thunderstorms that rolled through Kansas Friday night brought with them some much-needed rain to most of our area.
Some locations in Ellsworth, Marion, and McPherson counties saw rainfall of more than an inch. Rainfall totals ranged from 1.89 inches 9.4 miles north of Newton in Marion County to 0.03 of an inch 5 miles north-northwest of Cuba in Republic County.
At the Salina Regional Airport, 0.80 of an inch was reported.
