UPDATE: Status conference rescheduled to November for Cozy Inn lawsuit

The decision for the ongoing Cozy Inn lawsuit has been delayed to next month, as October's status conference meeting has been rescheduled.

ORIGINAL: UPDATE: Bench trial canceled for Cozy Inn lawsuit, in-person status conference scheduled

According to PACER reports from the US District Court, District of Kansas, the status conference that was initially set for October 22, 2025  has been rescheduled for November 19, 2025.

The status conference will be held at Frank Carlson Federal Building in Topeka (444 SE Quincy St.) in courtroom 401, before District Judge Toby Crouse.

The attorneys representing Cozy Inn during this conference was Samuel MacRoberts and Jeffrey Shaw. Attorneys representing the City of Salina was Todd Messenger, Amanda Jokerst and Aaron Martin.

On February 19, 2024, the Cozy Inn sued the City of Salina.
