On Thursday Kansas City Chiefs B.J. Thompson was taken to a hospital in stable condition after the defensive lineman experienced a cardiac event during a team meeting

Team trainers and medical staff were able to react quickly and treat Thompson until paramedics arrived, while Thompson is in stable condition he was still unconscious as of this morning

Last night the Kansas City Royals finally snapped their cold stream when Kyle Isbel hit a tiebreaking RBI single in the eighth inning that scored Adam Frazier and allowed the Royals to beat the AL Central-leading Cleveland Guardians 4-3

Frazier doubled off Hunter Gaddis with two outs and Isbel followed with a liner to right, giving Kansas City a split of the two-game series after the clubs were rained out on Wednesday

More locally Kansas Wesleyan's Jarrett Gable and Tyler Favretto have been named as NAIA and ABCA All-Americans as selected by the NAIA Baseball Coaches Association All-America Committee.

Gable earned repeat Second Team All-America honors, while Tyler Favretto earned Third Team All-America honors.

And finally some big things to look forward to this weekend including the resumption of the KC Current’s season. The Current are currently sixth in the NWSL, and take on the Seattle Reign at 5:00 on Sunday
