NWS extends winter weather advisories for some counties

The National Weather Service (NWS) has extended winter weather advisories for some counties in our area.

A winter weather advisory remains in effect until noon Monday for Marion County, according to the NWS in Wichita.

Additional snow accumulations of up to an inch are forecast.

Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility and cause cleared roads to become snow covered again.

A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 6 a.m. Monday for the following counties in our area, according to NWS in Topeka.

Clay County

Cloud County

Dickinson County

Ottawa County

Republic County

Additional snow accumulations of up to one inch are forecast.

Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
