On Saturday, December 14, National NCAA Softball Player and Pitcher of the Year NiJaree Canady will be at Long McArthur in Salina from 10am to noon!
The Kansas Native will be signing autographs (1 per person), and free doughnuts and photos will be available.
Canady is a Kansas native, originally hailing from Topeka, where she attended Topeka High.
During her time in Topeka, Canady was twice named as the Kansas Gatorade Player of the Year, and led her Trojans to back-to-back state championships.
Canady was named Collegiate Player of the Year and a First Team All American in 2024, and her dominance in the circle showed to the tune of a nation-leading 337 strikeouts and otherworldly 0.73 ERA, which also led the nation
She was 24-7 overall in the circle last season and an impressive 41-10 with a 0.67 ERA over her two seasons at Stanford, where she helped push the Cardinal to the final four teams each year at the Women’s College World Series
Canady also represented the U.S. this summer in the 2024 Japan All-Star Series. This offseason she transferred to Texas Tech where she will compete for the Red Raiders in 2025.
