A wind chill advisory is now in effect until midnight tonight for the following counties in our area, according to NWS in Wichita.

Lincoln County
Marion County
McPherson County
Saline County
Very cold air will drive wind chills as low as 20 below at times.
The cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.
This will be a long duration period of dangerously cold conditions that will span multiple days, potentially lasting into the middle of next week.
NWS in Hastings, Neb., has issued a wind chill advisory in effect from 6 p.m. Saturday through midnight tomorrow night for the following counties in our area.
