NWS issues winter weather advisories for our area

In addition to the wind chill advisories and watches that have been issued, winter weather advisories are looming on the horizon as another winter storm move toward Kansas.

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita has issued a winter weather advisory in effect from midnight tonight to the following midnight for the following counties in our area.

Ellsworth County

Lincoln County

Marion County

McPherson County

Saline County

Snow is expected, with total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches forecast.

Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

NWS in Hastings, Neb., has issued a winter weather advisory in effect from 6 p.m. Saturday to 6 p.m. Sunday for the following counties in our area.

Jewell County

Mitchell County

Snow is expected, with total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches forecast.

Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

NWS in Topeka has issued a winter weather advisory in effect from midnight tonight to the following midnight for the following counties in our area.

Clay County

Cloud County

Dickinson County

Ottawa County

Republic County

Snow is expected, with total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches expected north of an Abilene-to-Ottawa line and 3 to 5 inches expected south of that line.
