Sacred Heart hosted Berean Academy on Tuesday night with both games going down to the final seconds. The Lady Warriors came back and held on to win the opening game by a 50-48 score. The Knights followed with a late run of their own in the boys game to claim a 40-35 victory.

The Sacred Heart girls trailed by as many as four points early in the game, but held a 10-9 advantage at the end of the opening period. That lead grew to a dozen at halftime with Adelyn Lee scoring 11 of her team-high 17 points in the second quarter.
Trailing 31-19 to start the second half, the Lady Warriors went on a 12-2 run to cut the lead down to one possession. The Lady Knights then came back to make the score 41-35 after three quarters.
Still on top with the score 45-43, Sacred Heart surrendered two straight baskets that tied the game and then put Berean Academy ahead 47-45. A three-point play by Skylar Douglas gave the Lady Knights what turned on to be their final lead at 48-47.
The Lady Warriors tallied the final three points of the contest and held on for a 50-48 road win. In addition to Lee's 17 points, Douglas finished with 16 and Mia Hamilton came off the bench to add seven points.
The boys followed with a thriller of their own. Points were few and far between in the opening quarter as Sacred Heart led 8-2. Despite that, the Warriors began the second period on a 14-0 run to turn a six-point deficit into an eight-point advantage. Berean Academy led 18-14 at halftime.
The Warriors went on another run to start the third quarter with seven straight points. Trailing by 11, Sacred Heart then came back to make the score 29-25 heading into the final quarter.
Will Tuttle scored five of his game-high 16 points in the decisive fourth period. Noah Hines also saved his best for last scoring seven of his 12 points in the game's final minutes.
The Knights were finally able to seal the win at the free-throw line in the final minute. Luke Koland added five points and Dom Matteucci added four to claim the victory.
The Knights will head back on the road for one more doubleheader before the holiday break. In its inaugural season in the NCAA league, Lyons will host Sacred Heart on Friday.
