Following a pair of selections on Friday with Ben Sinnott selected by the Washington Commanders, and interior offensive lineman Cooper Beebe going to the Dallas Cowboys , Kansas State offensive lineman KT Leveston joined his two K-State teammates by hearing his name called on Saturday during the final round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Leveston was selected with the 34th pick of the seventh round – No. 254 overall – by the Los Angeles Rams. He is the seventh Wildcat all-time selected by the Rams.
Also out of Manhattan, Kansas State added a piece to its backfield on Monday with the signing of transfer running back Dylan Edwards to a Financial Aid Agreement. Edwards, who is transferring in from Colorado and will have three years of eligibility remaining, returns to his home state after playing high school football at Derby. Additionally, Edwards is a legacy Wildcat as his father, Leon, was a K-State running back who lettered from 1992 through 1994.
Kansas Football standout defensive lineman Austin Booker was selected in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft on Saturday, chosen by the Chicago Bears at pick No. 144. Booker becomes the second Jayhawk selected in the 2024 NFL Draft, joining offensive lineman Dominick Puni, who was picked in the third round at No. 86 by the San Francisco 49ers. This is the first time since 2015 that Kansas has had multiple players selected in the NFL Draft.
Kansas City Chiefs Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt has announced that former Chiefs Linebacker/Defensive End Tamba Hali will be the 2024 inductee into the Chiefs Hall of Fame. Hali is the 53rd individual and 49th player to earn this coveted honor. The official enshrinement ceremony into the Chiefs Hall of Fame will be held during Chiefs Legends Weekend at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium this fall.
