Meteorologists from the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita will present a storm spotter training session in Salina to help weather enthusiasts and storm spotters prepare for the upcoming severe weather season.

The training is scheduled for&nbsp;Tuesday, February 25, at 6:30 p.m.&nbsp;in&nbsp;Room 201 of the Peter Science Hall at Kansas Wesleyan University.

NWS staff will deliver an in-depth presentation covering:

	•	Recognizing storm features that indicate severity

Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of storm structures and their potential dangers. The NWS encourages anyone interested in weather, storm spotting, or emergency preparedness to attend.

Officials may also offer a&nbsp;virtual presentation option, with details to be announced. Updates on virtual sessions will be provided as they become available.
