UPDATE: Light snow? Ha! Winter weather advisories have now been issued for our area. Read about it here.

Areas of light snow will continue across central and south-central Kansas most of the day while southeast Kansas experiences a light rain/light snow mixture.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita, snow accumulations around 1 inch are likely across most of central Kansas while areas near Interstate 70 may reach closer to 2 inches. South-Central Kansas should receive less than one half inch.
All precipitation will end in a southwest to northeast manner late this afternoon; being confined to areas along, and northeast, of a line from around Salina, through Eureka, to Coffeyville by 6 p.m., NWS noted.
There`s a slight chance that a mixture of light rain and light snow will arrive central Kansas late Monday night with a brief changeover to light snow Tuesday morning.
