Comfort Heating and Air Salute to Service honors Chad Scoville

Posted Oct 13, 2019 9:00 PM

This week’s Comfort Heating and Air Salute to Service honoree is Chad Scoville.

Chad, who has been a firefighter for nearly 20 years, has worked for Salina Fire since August of 2001, first as a firefighter and now as a fire engineer. Additionally, he previously worked for Hutchinson Fire from November 2000 to August 2001. Chad has technical rescue training, hazmat training, swift water rescue training, and on shift fire investigator experience. Currently, he is still involved with technical rescue and hazmat.

Years ago, Chad’s training was put to good use when he rescued a boy from the Smoky Hill River.

Chad’s nominator wrote, “Chad should be honored because anyone who risks their lives every day to save the lives of others deserves recognition. He has been in this career for almost 20 years and has such a passion and dedication for what he does. Not only is he an amazing fireman and EMT, he is an outstanding husband and father to his four children, as well as being loved by all the children that attend his wife’s daycare.”

Congratulations, Chad, on being selected as this week’s Comfort Heating and Air Salute to Service honoree! Thank you for your service!

Each week during the NFL regular season, Comfort Heating and Air will salute a member of our military, a local police officer, member of the fire department, a paramedic, or other first responder, honoring those everyday heroes who keep our community safe!

Make your nomination for Salute to Service at SalinaPost.com. We’ll say thank you with dinner and dessert for two from Chic-fil-A and put that weekly winner in a random drawing to attend the Chiefs vs. Chargers game on Dec. 29 at Arrowhead Stadium. “I’m really excited to expand the Salute to Service contest this year. We’re so grateful to all the active duty military and veterans out there, but also wanted to honor everyday heroes too!” said Tucker Hilbert, owner of Comfort Heating & Air. “We’re thankful to our community partners like Chick-fil-A for helping us make sure each weekly winner feels appreciated.”

Thank you to all the nominees! We salute you!
