UPDATE 7 a.m. Monday: Two additional earthquakes shook part of southeastern Saline County on Sunday, bringing the total for the day to seven.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, a 2.8 magnitude quake struck southwest of Gypsum at 5:19 p.m. Sunday. It was centered northeast of the S. Niles Road/E. Assaria Road intersection.

At 10:57 p.m. Sunday, a 2.2 magnitude quake struck. It was located west of S. Cunningham Road between E. Hedberg Road and E. Assaria Road.

GYPSUM - A series of minor earthquakes continued to rattle the area southwest of Gypsum this morning.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, a 2.0 earthquake struck southwest of Gypsum at 3:27 a.m. Sunday. It was centered east of S. Cunningham Road between E. Hedberg Road and E. Assaria Road.

At 5:55 a.m. Sunday, a 2.1 magnitude quake struck a bit east-southeast of the first. It was centered north of E. Hedberg Road between S. Whitmore Road and S. Niles Road.

A 2.2 magnitude quake struck at 6:04 a.m. Sunday and was centered just north-northeast of the E. Hedberg Road/S. Whitmore Road intersection.

Additionally, a 2.4 magnitude quake struck at 7:51 a.m. It was centered just east of S. Niles Road between E. Hedberg Road and E. Assaria Road.

Then, at 10:13 a.m. Sunday, a 2.3 magnitude quake struck. It was centered just east of S. Cunningham Road between E. Hedberg Road and E. Assaria Road.
