UPDATE 8:22 p.m. Saturday: A 3.8 magnitude earthquake struck southwest of Gypsum at 8:09 p.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. So far, the quake was felt in Salina and in Abilene, people reported on the USGS website.

The quake was centered west of S. Niles Road between E. Hedberg Road and E. Assaria Road.

UPDATE 7:45 p.m. Saturday: Two additional quakes have rattled part of southeastern Saline County this evening.

According to the Kansas Geolgical Survey, a 2.0 quake struck at 7:10 p.m. southwest of Gypsum. It was centered just east of S. Whitmore Road between E. Hedberg Road and E. Assaria Road.

At 7:17 p.m. Saturday, a 2.6 magnitude earthquake struck a bit west of the 7:10 p.m. quake. It was centered west of S. Whitmore Road between E. Hedberg Road and E. Assaria Road.

The Kansas Geological Survey reported this evening that a 2.7 magnitude quake struck at 7:02 p.m. Saturday and was centered northwest of the E. Hedberg Road/S. Whitmore Road intersection.

GYPSUM - Southeastern Saline County continues to shake. The Kansas Geological Survey has reported four quakes thus far today.

The first was a 2.5 magnitude quake that struck southwest of Gypsum at 4:28 a.m. Saturday. It was centered just north-northwest of the E. Hedberg Road/S. Niles Road intersection.

Another 2.5 magnitude earthquake struck a bit east of the first at 5:18 a.m. Saturday. It was centered north of E. Hedberg Road between S. Whitmore Road and S. Niles Road.

At 5:41 a.m. Saturday, a 2.0 magnitude quake struck basically across the road from the first. It was centered north-northeast of the E. Hedberg Road/S. Niles Road intersection.

At 6:40 a.m. Saturday, a 2.2 magnitude quake struck just west of the 5:41 a.m. quake. It, too, was centered north-northeast of the E. Hedberg Road/S. Niles Road intersection.
