Salina placed under Flood Watch, severe stroms expected throughout central Kan.

A complex of strong to severe storms will move over parts of central Kansas on Monday evening.

According to the US National Weather Service, these storms are expected to occur throughout parts of central and eastern Kansas this evening. The strongest storms will be capable of producing damaging winds of 60-80 mph, hail up to golf ball size, and heavy rain. A brief tornado may also be possible.

The agency has also placed Salina under a Flood Watch, with a 60 percent chance of showers for Monday evening.
