Wind chills as low as 25 to 30 below zero. Increased risk of frostbite on exposed skin within 30 minutes

Residents are advised to dress in layers, cover exposed skin, and limit time outdoors.

The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a Winter Storm Warning for central and southeast Kansas, including Salina, from midnight tonight through 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Travel is expected to be difficult to dangerous. If you must travel, keep an emergency kit with a flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle.
