Earlier this week Kansas Wesleyan head baseball coach Bill Neale was named as the KCAC Baseball Coach of the Year for a second consecutive season as the All-KCAC teams were selected by a vote of the conference coaches.

In his 10th season leading the Coyotes, Neale led KWU to a conference record 32 wins as part of a 48-12 overall record, setting a watermark for wins in a season.

The Coyotes had six first-team selections in catcher Tyler Favretto, shortstop Jarrett Gable, outfielders Kendall Foster and Jacob Williamson, starting pitcher Jarrett Brannen and relief pitcher Ritter Steinmann, while First baseman Zack Beatty, starting pitcher Brett Maddock, and reliever KT Gearlds were named to the second-team.

Wednesday was also a good one for Kansas City Royals as Nelson Velázquez homered twice, Salvador Perez hit his team-leading 10th homer of the season and the Kansas City Royals snapped a three-game skid with a 6-1 win over the Minnesota Twins.

And finally KU made waves on Wednesday announcing that AD Travis Goff had agreed to a new 7-year contract through 2031.

Goff goes from being the Big 12's lowest paid AD to making nearly $1.6 million per year, putting him near the top of the conference
