This morning the Kansas City mourns the passing of Chiefs Hall of Fame running back Abner Haynes.

An original Dallas Texan with the team beginning in the inaugural 1960 season, Haynes was an exciting running back and return specialist who owns or shares a number of franchise records, including most touchdowns in a rookie season, most points by a non-kicker in a rookie season, most points in a game, most touchdowns in a game and most rushing touchdowns in a game

Haynes finished his career with 4,630 rushing yards and 46 touchdowns, he was 86 years old

On Thursday the Kansas City Royals announced their 2025 regular season schedule. All game times will be announced at a later date.

Opening Day is scheduled for Thursday, March 27 at Kauffman Stadium vs. the Cleveland Guardians.  This marks the earliest Opening Day in franchise history, and the ninth time in 11 years dating back to 2015 that the Royals will open the season at home. The 2025 season will mark the fifth time in 57 years that the Royals will begin a season vs. Cleveland, and the first time since 2022, when they hosted the Guardians in Kansas City.
