Joseph Robert “Rob” Harper
April 15, 1958 ~ April 3, 2024
Joseph Robert “Rob” Harper, here for a good time, not a long time left this place to join the higher spirits in the sky at 12:08am on April 3, 2024. He was surrounded by his family who are left to walk this world without his big, bold presence, but comforted by the fact that his spirit will continue in all of the family and friends who’s lives he touched.
Rob loved motorcycles, casinos, and his extended, blended family. He loved to tinker and fix broken things, make you laugh, and was always willing to help anyone that needed it. On a nice day you could find him out on a boat enjoying his solitude or out on a golf course riding a golf cart wherever he pleased, as long as it was NOT the designated path.
Rob is survived by his better half of 21 years; Amy Jensen of Salina, KS. Daughters: Heather Schmidt (Steve Allen) of Wichita, KS; and Kelly Hedden (Tommy) of Kentucky. Ashley Dibbens (Derek) of Derby, KS. Alisha Hurd (Caleb Grundy) of Salina, KS; and Caleb Hurd of Kansas. Sisters: Debbie Hop (Tom) of Virginia; and Connie Garcia of Hutchinson, KS. Grandchildren: Alex, Alana (Parker), Eric, Savannah, Easton, Sophie, and Brodie. Great Grandchildren: Joseph and Anthony.Nieces & Nephews: Wade, Willie, Whitney, and Jason; Josh and Nick; Theresa and Aaron; Luke, Joe, and John; Tori, Jamie, and Jarod along with many great nieces and nephews.
Rob was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Harper; his mother, Carol Bader and step-father, Duane Bader. Sisters: Cindy “Poo” Hill, Becky Andrews, and Vickie Reed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 27, 2024 at 1 pm at Blue Heaven Studios located at 201 S 8th St; Salina, KS 67401. The Celebration of Life is open to anyone that knew and loved Rob; please bring your funniest and best memories of this larger-than-life man, who would be very unhappy with any tears shed in sadness.
