Heat indices ranging from 102 to 110 are forecast for much of the area today, with dangerous heat continuing Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

Make sure to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities. Make sure pets have shade and plenty of water. Or better yet, bring them inside. Remember: at these temperatures, pavement can burn pets' feet.
