Barbara Ann (Steinberg) Wolford, 73, Tescott, formerly of Lincoln County, died Sunday, April 7, 2024. Barb was born in Salina on January 1, 1951, to Alvin Bernard and Alice Virginia (Bruce) Steinberg.

Barb was baptized on January 14, 1951, at home by the pastor of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Shady Bend. She was confirmed on April 11, 1965, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Lincoln. Barb graduated from Lincoln High School in May of 1969.

Barn and William Ray Wolford were united in marriage on August 10, 1969, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Lincoln.

She held various jobs mostly as a bookkeeper – the longest being with an implement dealership in Dighton. She also worked at several banks.

Barb was preceded in death by her husband, Bill on October 20, 2014, and her parents.

Survivors are her sister, Karla (Jim) Lero; sister-in-law, Kay Marshall, brother-in-law, Joe (Karen) Wolford; nephews and nieces, Carl (Dawn) Lero, Katie Lero, Jacob Lero, Diane (Barkley) Gentry, Audrey Marshall Cummings, Travis Wolford, and Robin Prado; and several great nephews and nieces.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, April 20, 2024, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Tescott. Interment will be at later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Tescott or the Beverly Rural Fire Department and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
