Red flag warnings have been issued for counties in our area for later today.

The National Weather Service in Hastings, Neb., has issued a red flag warning in effect from 1-8 p.m. Friday for the following counties in our area.

Winds from the south at 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph and relative humidity as low as 14 percent are forecast.

Any fires that ignite may spread rapidly. Use caution if engaging in activities that could result in fire ignition.

South winds at 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 25 mph and relative humidity falling into the 15 to 19 percent range during the afternoon are forecast.

Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
