Salina Post obituary policy
Salina Post understands the importance of honoring the deceased and welcomes all submissions of obituaries with a full summary of their life, survivors, services, website of the funeral home and a photo.
You can email all obituaries: newstips@salinapost.com or nicolas.fierro@eaglemedia.com and will be posted on the website within 24 business hours.
As of March 1, 2026, Salina Post will begin charging $100 per obituary for posting obituaries.
The fees collected will help us continue to offer high-quality obituaries while maintaining the overall sustainability of the Salina Post.
Funeral homes will be able to establish billing with a credit card with Eagle Media, the parent company of the Salina Post.

Individuals will still be able to submit obituaries to the Hays Post. They will need to prepay by credit card.
PLEASE NOTE: We will no longer go directly to funeral home websites to obtain obituaries They MUST be emailed to newstips@salinapost.com to be published.
