NWS updates winter weather advisories for our area

The National Weather Service (NWS) has updated the winter weather advisories for our area.

According to NWS in Wichita, a winter weather advisory remains in effect until midnight tonight for the following counties in our area.

Marion County

McPherson County

Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected.

Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning and evening commute.

A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. Sunday for the following counties in our area, according to NWS-Wichita.

Ellsworth County

Lincoln County

Saline County

Additional snow accumulations of up to two inches are expected.

Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning and evening commute.

A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. Sunday for the following counties in our area, according to NWS in Hastings, Neb.

Jewell County

Mitchell County

Additional snow accumulation this morning will top out between 1 to 2 inches in areas of heavier snow. Other areas will see additional amounts up to 1 inch.

Plan on slippery road conditions due to accumulating snow. The majority of accumulating snow during the winter weather advisory will occur prior to 10 a.m. this morning. Winds during the snow will average 10 to 15 mph from the north to northeast.

A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 6 a.m. Monday for the following counties in our area according to NWS in Topeka.

Clay County

Cloud County

Dickinson County

Ottawa County

Republic County

Snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches forecast.
