The US National Weather Service has announced the heat indices around the central Kansas region for Monday.
According to the US National Weather Service, heat index values during the afternoon and early evening for Monday and Tuesday, July 29th are expected to be in the 102 to 109 degree range. Salina is expected to reach a heat index of 106 for Monday, and 105 for Tuesday.
The US National Weather Service advises everyone to be sure to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activity during the afternoon hours.
