On Wednesday the Kansas Wesleyan baseball team put themselves on the doorstep of a berth to the NAIA College World Series in a 9-2 win over the Talladega College Tornadoes in Bossier City Louisiana

The victory propels the Coyotes into the Shreveport Bracket championship where K-Dub will face the hosts in LSU-Shreveport today, with a chance to punch their ticket to the big show in Idaho later this month

Yesterday also saw the continuation of regional baseball action in our area, and an excellent day for the Salina South Cougars, who pulled off an extra-inning win over Great Bend before taking down Emporia 6-2 to advance to this year’s 5A state tournament.

Only one bracket remains to be played today, and that will see the Sacred Heart and Ell-Saline baseball teams battle it out at TMP at 3:00, we will be streaming both the semifinal and championship games on Salina Post with live audio and video 100% free
