After thunderstorms and a few tornadoes struck the central and northeast parts of Kansas, mild weather is expected for most residents over the weekend.
The National Weather Service Topeka forecasted calmer weather for the rest of the week and weekend.
Northern Kansas has a chance for more rain today, but forecasters suspect sunshine to return soon alongside slightly cooler temperatures in the mid-50s to mid-60s.
