On Wednesday the conference announced that  Tyler Favretto of Kansas Wesleyan University’s baseball team has earned the KCAC Baseball Player of the Week

Favretto had a great week for the Coyotes helping K-dub to a 5-1 record. His best three games came 23rd ranked Tabor as he went 8-for-9 in the series and drove in eight runs, while hitting five homers in the three-game stretch. On the week, he was on base at a .737 clip for the conference games, only striking out one time. This marks the second time this season Favretto has been named the KCAC Baseball Player of the Week.

Speaking of baseball on Wednesday the Kansas City Royals played two games in Chicago and split their set with the White Sox, as Chicago snapped a six-game slide with a 2-1 win in game one before the Royals bounced back with a 4-2 win in game two.

That game two victory was spurred by Salvador Perez who hit a two-run homer in the eighth, a good sign for Royals fans after the beloved long-time catcher was taken out and missed a game last week due to a lower body injury

And finally,  Kansas State head coach Jerome Tang announced the signing of transfer guard (C.J.) Jones on Wednesday

A 6-foot-5, 195-pound guard, Jones arrives at K-State after 2 seasons at (UIC), where he led the Flames in assists and minutes played, and was second in scoring and steals
