UPDATE Thursday 10:15 a.m.: The Salina Police Department this morning provided additional information about the children who were living in the south Salina residence where more than 5,000 pills suspected to contain fentanyl, weapons, and more than a half ounce of methamphetamine were seized Tuesday.
Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning that a 15-year-old boy, a 14-year-old girl, and a four-year-old girl were placed into protective custody with other family members.
Forrester also said that the six charges of aggravated endangering a child that were requested for both Gregory James Walburn and Chelsea Renae Walburn were divided into two categories. Three were requested for the condition of the residence in which the children were living and three were requested for the presence of illegal drugs in the residence, Forrester explained.

More than 5,000 pills suspected to contain fentanyl, weapons, and more than a half ounce of methamphetamine were among the items seized when a search warrant was served at a south Salina residence Tuesday.
In a release issued this afternoon, the Salina Police Department reported that its SWAT Team, department detectives, and Kansas Bureau of Investigation agents served a search warrant at 827 Mike Drive "regarding a drug investigation involving the distribution of fentanyl pills."
Among the items seized during the search were the following.
●More than 5,000 pills
●More than a half ounce of suspected methamphetamine
●Two hand guns
●9mm ammunition
●Suspected stolen property
"The pills are commonly recognized to be counterfeit oxycodone pills containing suspected fentanyl," the Salina Police Department noted in the news release.
At the conclusion of the search, the following people were arrested on a number of requested charges.

According to the news release, the following charges were requested for Gregory James Walburn.

●Distribution of opiates
●Possession of opiates
●Two counts of Kansas Tax Stamp Violation
●Possession of methamphetamine
●Distribution of methamphetamine
●Criminal possession of a firearm
●Possession of stolen property
