Hello and Happy Friday everybody it's Tyler Henry back with another KINA Sports Update presented by Salina Regional Orthopedic and Sports Medicine.
On Thursday, it was announced that Kansas State head men's basketball coach Jerome Tang had made a significant addition to his 2024-25 roster with the signing of impact transfer guard Doug McDaniel. At five foot 11 175 pounds, McDaniel arrives from K State after two seasons in Michigan, where he led the Wolverines in scoring three point field goals assists steals and minutes as just a sophomore.
In his two seasons in Ann Arbor, he averaged 12 points on 40% shooting, including 36% from downtown to go with 4.1 assists, 3.4 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 32 minutes per game while playing in 60 out of possible 66 games which 52 starts.
Yesterday was also a good day for the Kansas City Royals is Nelson Velasquez and MJ Melendez each homered and drove in two runs, helping lead Seth Lugo to attend one victory over the Chicago White Sox on Thursday night.
Right fielder Hunter Renfro throughout a potential tying run at the plate in the sixth inning before Kansas City broke the game wide open with eight runs in the seventh.
