According to the GoFundMe page, a friend of Chris and Danielle who lost the barn, created the fundraiser. The statement said the five show horses that were killed belonged to Chris, which was his only way of income.
Moreover, Danielle is on medical leave from work and is still recovering from a surgery.
The Saline County Sheriff's Office stated the Fire Marshal visited the scene and are awaiting a report from the Marshal.
Once the report is finalized, Salina Post will publish it.
The following is the statement on the GoFundMe page:
On 3/23 our friend Danielle and her fiancée, Chris lost their barn to a fire. This barn held 5 show horses and 4 beloved dogs that were all lost. The show horses were Chris’s only way of income. With this great loss he will be out of work for the foreseeable future. Danielle is on medical leave from work and still recovering from a surgery. They have no income at this time. We are asking for any donations that can go to them rebuilding the business they have dedicated many years to building, and to just help keep them afloat during this time.
