A chance of light rain Friday afternoon is expected to gradually transition into light snow towards the evening.
According to the US National Weather Service, a chance of rain is expected after 1:00 pm with a 50% chance to mix with snow after 4:00 pm.
Portions of central and south-central Kansas could see light snow accumulations up to 1 inch, and slick spots on bridges and overpasses are possible tonight.
A little after 7:00 pm, the mix will likely become all snow.
Higher accumulations are expected across southwest Kansas.
