Alice Louise (Fredrickson) Sankey, 93, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Monday, December 8, 2025, at Holiday Resort in Salina, Kansas.

Alice was born November 19, 1932, in Courtland, Kansas, on the family farm; the first of two children born to Reuben and Amanda (Rasmussen) Fredrickson. Alice grew up on the farm and attended a one-room country schoolhouse through 8th grade. She graduated from Scandia High School in Scandia, Kansas in 1950.

Alice was united in marriage to Bobby Gene Sankey on September 16, 1951, at the Methodist Parsonage in Scandia, Kansas. This union was blessed with three children, Keith Michael, Faith Diane, and Melba Jean. They made their home in several towns throughout Kansas due to Bob's work in construction, eventually settling in Salina in the late 1950's. Bob preceded her in death on January 3, 1998.

As a devoted wife and mother, Alice served her family as a homemaker for several years, even opening their home as a small day care. She then worked for Triplet Standard gas stations as their bookkeeper before moving on to work at Tony's Pizza Service. As one of their original employees, Alice completed 26 years of service before her retirement.

Surviving family includes her children; son, Mike (Joanie), and daughters Diane and Mel; her grandchildren; Stephen Sankey, Eric (Reola) Sankey, Amethyst Sankey, Jason (Blanca) Norris, Chad (Hannah) Norris, Wesley (Marjan) Pekarek, and Amanda (Kevin) Hanchett; 16 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.&nbsp;

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, brother, John, her husband, Bob, son-in-law, Ron, great-grandson, Ethan, and several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held&nbsp;at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Ryan Mortuary in Salina. Burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Salina.&nbsp;&nbsp;

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Condolences may be sent to Ryan Mortuary, who is handling arrangements.

Alice Louise Sankey

Dennis L. Ade, 82, passed away peacefully in Salina, Kansas on December 6, 2025.

Dennis was born on April 8, 1943, in Salina. He was the son of Ezra and Virginia (Mason) Ade. He attended Carlton Grade School and graduated from Dickinson County Community High School, Chapman, Ks in 1961. He graduated with a business administration degree in 1962 from Brown-Mackie School of Business, Salina.

During his childhood and teenage years, Dennis was a member of the Carlton Trailblazers 4-H Club, Carlton. He was a winner of the following: one of six state 4-H Home Improvement; a National 4-H Beautification of Home Grounds, Who’s Who Key Award; The Danforth Award Winner; and wrote a featured a story, which placed third in K.H.S. State Journalism contest.

After graduating from Brown Mackie, he worked at Communication Services, Junction City, Ks. Dennis moved to Hutchinson in 1976 where he worked for Cable TV, Hutchinson Floral and Gifts, and Don’s Custom Floral.&nbsp; Dennis was a very talented person.

His true love and craftmanship was working with flowers of which he made beautiful arrangements. Dennis would always present his mother with a beautiful, one-of-a-kind, Mother’s Day corsage. Dennis’ talent for original and unique arrangements led him to many national contests.

Dennis Ade (AIFD, KAFA, CFD) biggest accomplishment was when he was inducted into the American Institute of Floral Designers. (AIFD) Dennis started his career as a floral designer in 1980 working part time at Hutchinson Floral and Gifts.&nbsp; In 1983 he graduated from the Stuppy’s School of Floral Design.&nbsp; His career as a floral designer started after that. He worked as a designer for 25 years at Don’s Custom Floral.&nbsp; His competitive nature drove him to many competitions throughout the mid-west.&nbsp; He placed in over 25 design competitions in the Midwest including: Kansas Designer of the Year, Top Designer at the Ozark Floral Design competition, and First place at Ne-Mo-Kan, a tri state floral convention.&nbsp; He was a selected member of the Kansas Affiliated Floral Artists (KAFA) and for many years served on their board of Directors.&nbsp; &nbsp;In 1999 he entered a national design competition and won the People’s Choice Award.&nbsp; The following year he was selected to enter again and won First Place in the very prestigious Carik Cup national design competition.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;

In 2001, after rigid competition and presentations, he was selected by an elite panel of national designers, to become a member of the American Institute of Floral Designers, (AIFD) the highest, most select group of designers in the nation.&nbsp; &nbsp;After that he became a national Certified Floral Designer (CFD).&nbsp; Through the years several of his designs appeared in national floral publications including twice selected as one of the top 12 in the FTD national cup competition.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Dennis was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church, Carlton, Ks. He loved playing the organ for church.&nbsp; Dennis also learned how to play the saxophone – as his love for music was one many talents he shared.&nbsp;&nbsp; Dennis loved Christmas and would enjoy decorating church and homes for people.&nbsp;&nbsp; The Ade family dog, Deva, (named after Dennis, Ezra &amp; Virginia) was so loved by Dennis. Family and friends all knew that Deva was his special dog.

Dennis’ love for his family led him to help gather information for Gypsum, Carlton, Elmo, and Holland history books.&nbsp;&nbsp; Dennis was the family historian. He kept meticulous records for the Ade, Mason, Reiff, Meyer and Schulz families - as he was related to all of them. Dennis loved to organize and help with the family reunions.&nbsp; He also organized the Woodlawn Cemetery Memorial Day service for many years.&nbsp;

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezra &amp; Virginia Ade, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Survivors include many cousins and friends.&nbsp;

Services will be Monday, December 15, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. the First Baptist Church, 807 Spring St, Gypsum, Ks. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour before the funeral at 9:30 at the church.&nbsp;&nbsp; Memorials may be made to Gentiva Hospice in care of Ryan Mortuary; 137 N. 8th&nbsp;St; Salina, Ks 67401.

Dennis L. Ade

Jaqualine “Jackie” Smith passed away on December 9, 2025. Jackie was born on May 20, 1937, in Salina, Kansas. She was one of eight children born to Clyde and Ruth (Linkletter) Weckel. She graduated from Salina Central High School in 1955. Jackie married Donolojoe “Joe” Smith on June 22, 1958. She and her husband had three children and two grandchildren. They moved to Colorado Springs for a couple of years before moving to Tribune, Ks. where they resided for over 30 years. After leaving Tribune, they spent a few years in Russell, Kansas. She finally convinced Joe to move back to Salina in 2008, which is where they both grew up.

Jackie started out as an X-Ray technician in Salina and was later a lab technician while in Tribune. She was an artist working in a variety of mediums: oil painting, stained glass, and wood carving to mention a few. She and Joe belonged to a car club and enjoyed taking trips with the group. On a weekend, you could find them enjoying time at the lake. They owned cabins at Cedar Bluff and later at Kanopolis. Jackie was a member of a bridge club and often hosted the club. She later loved playing online with her sisters. The “Weckel Family” reunion was a highlight every year. The first reunion was in 1973, then once parents were gone they continued reunion from 1977-2006 giving Jackie an opportunity to travel. A new location for the reunion was chosen every year, and they traveled from Las Vegas to Washington, DC, and of course Cedar Bluff cabin to name a few. Her grandchildren were another great source of pride and joy in her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five siblings, and a son. Survivors include son, Eric (Lisa) Smith; grandchildren, Colby &amp; Dylan Smith; daughter, Brenda Smith; and sisters, Pat Robinson &amp; Faye Bright.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later time.

Patty Sue (Williams) Roadhouse was born on June 22, 1946 in Downs, Kansas to Kenneth (Hoot) Williams and Gretta (Ritchenson) Muck. Patty was called home Monday December 8, 2025 surrounded by family.

A small town girl from Downs adapted well to farm life after she married Dean Roadhouse on January 18, 1964. She graduated high school in Colorado in spring 1964 after moving there following the wedding. They lived in Colorado for 4 years and had two children before moving back to Osborne, Kansas in 1968 to help farm with the Roadhouse family before establishing their own family farm.

Patty was an avid reader in her rare spare time. She was a wonderful cook and was an expert at preparing so many delicious meals to feed a houseful of family and friends. But most of all, Patty loved deeply and fiercely. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially cheering on Cade’s racing and sporting events.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Hoot (Jackie) Williams and Gretta (Joe) Muck, grandson Cody Schuber, and brother Kenny Williams. She is survived by her children Troy Roadhouse of Osborne and Debi (Jason) Schuber of Wichita; grandson Cade Schuber of Wichita; siblings Barbara Calderone and Dede Mead; and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

Kim Gall, 75, of Salina, KS, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025. She was born July 1, 1950, in Chicago, IL, to parents Fred L.

Kim Gall

On November 25, 2025, Kathy (Townsend) Eddy, 74, passed away peacefully with her beloved children at her side. Kathy was born on February 16, 1951, to Darlene (Warner) and Thomas Townsend (deceased) in Lebanon, Nebraska. She grew up there, attending classes in a one-room school house until high school. Armed with her smarts, a goal, and grit in spades, she made her way to Fort Hays State University in Kansas and became the first in her family to go to college.

After college, she moved to Salina, Kansas, where she worked as a Certified Public Accountant at Woods and Durham until her retirement many years later. In the fall of 1976, after a brief courtship, she married Dale M. Eddy. Friends said it would never last but Dale and Kathy had the last laugh. I like to think they celebrated their 49th anniversary in heaven, as Dale passed earlier this year.

Raising her two children, daughter Darcie and son Darren, was her pride and joy and she loved watching them grow into successful adults. Kathy attended dance recitals, skating rink and paintball parties, and football games with a dedication only mothers can know. Gardening was her passion, everything grew a little bigger, a little prettier, under her loving and watchful eye. There was usually a dog or two around to help out and a cat to keep her company while she relaxed on the back porch after a long day of tending her yard. A keeper of lists until the end, there was always one more item to check-off before the winter freeze. Kathy was the heart of the home, at the “Eddy Inn” she made all feel welcome and loved. The matriarch of our traditions, she made sure every holiday was properly celebrated (and decorated for). At Thanksgiving, everyone had their favorite dish on the table (with leftovers for days), at Christmas, there was a little something for everyone. Homemade ice cream awaited our birthdays, a special treat hand cranked (until we finally got an electric machine) with love.

All who stood in Kathy’s circle were deeply loved. From long lunches catching up with friends, to the card nights hosted at the house, her circle of women friends was deeply important to her. Equally important were the life-long friends she made as part of a couple - going out dancing in the heady days of their 20’s, going to the lake with the kids in their 30s and 40s, and reminiscing in the golden years, we were raised with friends as family.

Like a sunflower after a summer storm, Kathy stood strong, resolute, and always looking on the bright side. There were many things people told her she couldn’t do - go to college, have a better job, walk after major spinal surgery, but she did it anyway in her quiet way. She didn’t like to make a fuss, she just did it. When the news of breast cancer came back as stage 4 in early 2024, she quietly got to work. Like the Tammy Wynette song of her old country favorites, she was going to leave here Standing Tall.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and palliative/hospice care team at KU Medical Center who helped care for Kathy in her final week. We cannot thank you enough for the kindness and compassion you showed our mother in her final moments. In addition to her children, Kathy is survived by her granddaughters, Taylor (Dylan Lee) and Patience Eddy; her sister, Mary Peter; sister-in-laws Barbra (Mike Hopper) Eddy-Disney and Alice (Bill) Eddy-Sears; and many much loved nieces and nephews and cousins. Husband Dale Eddy and brother Steven Townsend preceded Kathy in death. Kathy did not want a service or memorial, she asked instead that you meet up with your friends for a long lunch full of laughter and memories, enjoy the sunset with your favorite person, and relax with a good book and your favorite snack.

Armed with her smarts, a goal, and grit in spades, she made her way to Fort Hays State University in Kansas and became the first in her family to go to college.After college, she moved to Salina, Kansas, where she worked as a Certified Public Accountant at Woods and Durham until her retirement many years later. In the fall of 1976, after a brief courtship, she married Dale M. Eddy. Friends said it would never last but Dale and Kathy had the last laugh. I like to think they celebrated their 49th anniversary in heaven, as Dale passed earlier this year.Raising her two children, daughter Darcie and son Darren, was her pride and joy and she loved watching them grow into successful adults. Kathy attended dance recitals, skating rink and paintball parties, and football games with a dedication only mothers can know. Gardening was her passion, everything grew a little bigger, a little prettier, under her loving and watchful eye. There was usually a dog or two around to help out and a cat to keep her company while she relaxed on the back porch after a long day of tending her yard. A keeper of lists until the end, there was always one more item to check-off before the winter freeze. Kathy was the heart of the home, at the “Eddy Inn” she made all feel welcome and loved. The matriarch of our traditions, she made sure every holiday was properly celebrated (and decorated for). At Thanksgiving, everyone had their favorite dish on the table (with leftovers for days), at Christmas, there was a little something for everyone. Homemade ice cream awaited our birthdays, a special treat hand cranked (until we finally got an electric machine) with love.All who stood in Kathy’s circle were deeply loved. From long lunches catching up with friends, to the card nights hosted at the house, her circle of women friends was deeply important to her. Equally important were the life-long friends she made as part of a couple - going out dancing in the heady days of their 20’s, going to the lake with the kids in their 30s and 40s, and reminiscing in the golden years, we were raised with friends as family.Like a sunflower after a summer storm, Kathy stood strong, resolute, and always looking on the bright side. There were many things people told her she couldn’t do - go to college, have a better job, walk after major spinal surgery, but she did it anyway in her quiet way. She didn’t like to make a fuss, she just did it. When the news of breast cancer came back as stage 4 in early 2024, she quietly got to work. Like the Tammy Wynette song of her old country favorites, she was going to leave here Standing Tall.We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and palliative/hospice care team at KU Medical Center who helped care for Kathy in her final week. We cannot thank you enough for the kindness and compassion you showed our mother in her final moments. In addition to her children, Kathy is survived by her granddaughters, Taylor (Dylan Lee) and Patience Eddy; her sister, Mary Peter; sister-in-laws Barbra (Mike Hopper) Eddy-Disney and Alice (Bill) Eddy-Sears; and many much loved nieces and nephews and cousins. Husband Dale Eddy and brother Steven Townsend preceded Kathy in death. Kathy did not want a service or memorial, she asked instead that you meet up with your friends for a long lunch full of laughter and memories, enjoy the sunset with your favorite person, and relax with a good book and your favorite snack.

Bud (Peter)&nbsp;L. Sutton, 70, lifelong Salina resident, died Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Kenwood View Health and Rehab in Salina, Kansas.

He was born on March 8, 1955, in Salina, the son of Earl and Joyce Gumble Sutton. Peter was raised and attended schools in Salina.

He was a welder, originally going to work for Mai Steel in Salina which would later become PKM Steel. Peter later went to MDF Industries from which he retired but continued to work parttime.

An avid Dallas Cowboys and Dale Earnhart Sr. fan,&nbsp;Bud enjoyed all types of racing and fishing. He spent his summer days mowing his neighbors' yards, asking nothing in return. He was humble and selfless always willing to help someone in need, even a stranger.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Survivors include his former spouse Rita Sutton, sons Mike Sutton of Salina, Matthew Sutton and his companion Fe of Lawrence; brother Randy Sutton of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. In his later years he grew close to his granddaughter Mykayle, sharing a love of welding and racing.&nbsp;

Mary Sue "Susie" Stinson, 89, passed away peacefully on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025, in Overland Park, Kansas.

Susie, or “Nanny” as affectionately called by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was born April 10, 1936, in Salina, Kansas, to Dr. Claude Stanley Flora and Dr. Rochelle Evelyn (Smith) Flora. 

Susie was the youngest of three girls and both her mom and dad were chiropractors in Salina for many years. Susie had a unique childhood as when she was very young her mother contracted tuberculosis, which required her to live in a sanitorium in Oak Park, Illinois, for an extended period (the common medical practice at that time). Susie’s father was a big sports fan, so with her mother’s absence and later limitations, Susie fondly remembered attending numerous sporting events with her dad, including the Salina semi-pro baseball team games and high school football and basketball games. These early years resulted in her becoming a huge sports fan, which was a blessing to her future husband Bob and her three sons.Following her graduation from Salina High School (now Salina Central) Susie attended the University of Kansas, where she proudly became a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. At KU she met Bob, and after her sophomore year they were married on August 18, 1956, in her parents’ home in Salina. Shortly thereafter, Bob became an officer in the Navy and for nearly three years they lived in Honolulu, Hawaii, stationed at Pearl Harbor. Susie had fond memories of those Navy days when they made some lifelong friends.

Susie spent most of her years in her hometown, as after Hawaii they settled in Salina where they raised their family. Susie was very active in the community, serving in various volunteer capacities and working for the Salina Bicentennial Commission. She also spent about a decade working for State Farm Insurance agent Fred Rothe in downtown Salina. One of her greatest attributes was making friends. She had a warm presence and a great sense of humor, much loved by her friends and family. For most of her adult life she maintained the bond of friendship with many from her high school class, from KU, from the Salina community, including the First Presbyterian Church and the Salina Country Club, and later from Torch Lake in Michigan. &nbsp;

Susie was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 68 years Bob, and her sisters Barbara Buehler and Ivy Marsh.&nbsp; She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Mike (Cari), Matt (Stephanie) and Tom (Tia), her 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.Her memorial service will be held Monday, December 29, at 1:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 308 South 8th St., Salina, Kansas. A reception will follow at the Salina Country Club. She is interred in Salina at the Roselawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, where her parents also are located.

Galen Case, 96, a lifetime McPherson County resident, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, surrounded by family at Hospice House, Hutchinson.

He was born October 6, 1929, at&nbsp; his home in McPherson County, the son of Cecil L. and Lizzie A. (Crane) Case.&nbsp; Galen attended Santa Fe Grade School and graduated from McPherson High School in 1947.&nbsp; He continued his education at McPherson College.

On October 10, 1948, Galen was united in marriage to Doris Jean Morris at the First United Methodist Church.&nbsp; Galen and Doris were faithful attenders of the church where many friendships were made. Galen served on the church board.

Galen purchased the farm in 1959 where he would live the rest of his life.&nbsp; He spent most of his life in a ten mile radius, building deep and lifelong friendships.&nbsp; Many of the neighbors shared hayracks and looked out for one another as a community.&nbsp; Galen was most at home on the farm and could tell so many stories of his difficult times and “war wounds” from his work.

Galen and Doris were major supporters and part of the founding committee for Elyria Christian School.&nbsp; Galen was Past President of the McPherson County Farm Bureau, was a member of the Extension Council and a delegate for the Associated Milk Producers, Inc.&nbsp; In 2000, the Case family was named the Farm Family of the Year by the McPherson Chamber of Commerce.&nbsp; Galen was one of the early adopters of organic farming and many of his methods were studied by K-State and Kansas Wesleyan University.

Galen leaves a legacy of the fruit of hard work and what can be accomplished, from starting with almost nothing to living a life that blessed many.

He is survived by his four children, Gary Case of Land O’ Lakes, FL, Elaine (Terry) Ferguson of Salina, KS, David (Kelly) Case of McPherson, KS, and Randy (Nancy) Case of McPherson, KS; 11 grandchildren, Heather Hall, Brian Case, Keegan Ferguson, Koby Ferguson, Kaylee Ketner, Amy McLellan, Derek Case, Seth Case, Leah Hamilton, Jordan Case, and Jacob Case; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many extended relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and siblings, Harry Case, Wayne Case, Alice Frantz, Lois Miller, and Carolee Mehlinger.

Doris Maxine Long Davis passed peacefully on December 8, 2025, at the remarkable age of 94. 

Doris, born on April 1, 1931, lived her life as a true warrior, dedicating her time and energy to providing delicious food and attention to family, friends, and the community of Minneapolis.&nbsp;Doris had a passion for cooking, gardening, volunteering, and most of all, spending quality time with her loved ones. She was well known in the community for her famous coconut cream pie, among other culinary delights. Her work ethic was unparalleled, and she had an incredible ability to achieve anything she set her mind to. Doris worked at the Ottawa County Health Center for many years as well as Jo’s Daylight Donuts in her later years. 

One of her favorite past times was playing cards with friends.&nbsp;After marrying Max Leland Davis on April 4, 1949, Doris and Max briefly lived in Colorado before settling in rural Minneapolis. They were blessed with three children: Raymond (Kathy) of Minneapolis, Leland (Triessa) of Wells, Kelita (Chris) of McPherson. Doris ‘s legacy continues through her 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren.&nbsp;

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, and husband.&nbsp;The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 16 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467.

Doris Maxine Long Davis

William Robert Logan was born in rural Formoso, KS, on June 17, 1942, to William Lloyd and Aletha Marie (Reed) Logan.

Bill attended country school at Woodbine and graduated from Montrose Rural High School with the Class of 1960.

Bill was a member of the Jewell County Westernnaires, Hub of the Nation Quarter Horse Association, United Rodeo Association, and the United States Team Roping Association. He was co-owner of Mankato Livestock, Inc. LLC from 2005-2012.&nbsp;&nbsp;Bill enjoyed team roping all his life and the friends he made with all those cowboys. He was self-employed as a farrier for as long as he was able. He took after his Grandfather Logan who was the Formoso blacksmith. Bill also spent much time helping area ranchers and farmers checking pastures and their cattle year around. His interests were always centered around cattle and horses.

Bill married Marie Ilene (Sipe) Logan on February 19, 1961. To this union were born a son, William Dwayne, dying at birth, two daughters, Vicki Marie and Cynthia Louise.

He especially enjoyed the summers his grandson, Luke Wilson Cramer, spent in Kansas when they could go fishing and riding horses.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Marie Ilene (Sipe) in August 2025, his son William Dwayne in 1961. His survivors are Vicki (Carl) Cramer, Miramar, Fl, Cindy (Carrol Ubel), Manhattan, KS, and Luke (Rebecca) Cramer, Kissimmee, FL.

He is also survived by his sister Donna Marie (Lloyd) Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, December 29, 2025 at the Harmony United Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Rice officiating. Burial will follow at Balch Cemetery, Formoso, KS. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 28, 2025 from 4-8 pm with the family greeting friends from 5-7 pm, all at Melby Mortuary, 402 N. High St., Mankato, KS 66956.

He was co-owner of Mankato Livestock, Inc. LLC from 2005-2012.&nbsp;&nbsp;Bill enjoyed team roping all his life and the friends he made with all those cowboys. He was self-employed as a farrier for as long as he was able. He took after his Grandfather Logan who was the Formoso blacksmith. Bill also spent much time helping area ranchers and farmers checking pastures and their cattle year around. His interests were always centered around cattle and horses.Bill married Marie Ilene (Sipe) Logan on February 19, 1961. To this union were born a son, William Dwayne, dying at birth, two daughters, Vicki Marie and Cynthia Louise.He especially enjoyed the summers his grandson, Luke Wilson Cramer, spent in Kansas when they could go fishing and riding horses.Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Marie Ilene (Sipe) in August 2025, his son William Dwayne in 1961. Robert "Bob" DeLaney Sr., 83 of Salina, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025.

Born on July 7, 1942 in Salina, Kansas, Bob was the son of Charles "Pat" DeLaney Sr. and Helen (McCarty) DeLaney of Tescott, Kansas.

Bob proudly served his country in the United States Navy before beginning a 44-year career with the United States Postal Service, where he worked with dedication until his retirement in 2008. Known for his steady presence, reliability, and good humor, Bob was respected by coworkers and loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his daughters, Lori Kirby and Jeana Opel, both of Salina; his son, Robert "Rob" DeLaney Jr. of Rolla, Missouri; his brother, Charles "Chuck" DeLaney Jr. (Donna) of Salina; his sisters, Carolyn Gibson (Glen) of Salina, Judy Noyes of Salina and Patti Durbin (Bob) of San Diego, California; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Nona.

In accordance with Bob's wishes, he was cremated.A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, January 10, 2026 at Emmanuel Church in Salina, Kansas.

Tracie grew up in Mankato, Kansas, and graduated from Mankato High School with the class of 1980. She later attended college in Salina, where she met the love of her life, Frederick “Fritz” Walter. They were united in marriage in September 1982 and made their home in Salina.

Tracie dedicated most of her career to the medical field, working at St. John Hospital as an ICU Heart Monitor Technician and later as a Scrub Technician. She continued her work until her health no longer allowed.

Tracie was an avid pet lover. Tracie Carlene Walter

Richard (Rick) R. Radcliffe, age 76, entered into rest on December 4, 2025 at Good Samaritan Society in Olathe, Kansas.&nbsp;&nbsp;He was born on April 11, 1949 in Concordia, Kansas to Clifford J. and Juanita (Walden) Radcliffe.&nbsp;

Rick was a 1967 graduate of Concordia High School.&nbsp;&nbsp;He attended Cloud County Community College and later graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in social work.

In October 1970, Rick joined the United States Army and served in Vietnam from July 1971 until April 1972.&nbsp;&nbsp;In 1973, he was honorably discharged and returned to Kansas State University to finish his degree.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

On December 30, 1972, he married Sherrie R. (Erhardt) Radcliffe at the 1st&nbsp;United Methodist Church in Concordia, Kansas.&nbsp;&nbsp;They were married 46 years until Sherrie’s passing in 2018.

Rick worked for the State of Kansas as a social worker for the entirety of his professional career, with assignments in Hutchinson, Topeka, Concordia, and Salina.&nbsp;&nbsp;Rick was dedicated to helping the less fortunate and serving as a strong advocate for children in difficult situations.&nbsp;

He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, American Legion Post #76, VFW Post #588 Auxiliary, all of Concordia.&nbsp;&nbsp;Rick was an avid conservationist and supported several organizations for disabled veterans.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Outside of a few short stints, Rick was a lifelong Concordian.&nbsp;&nbsp;He served the community on the USD #333 school board in the early 1990s when construction of a new elementary school was approved and participated in productions with the Brown Grand players.&nbsp;&nbsp;He enjoyed tagging along with Sherrie to craft shows and displayed his own artistry skills while having a photography business, Red Door Photography, during the early years of his retirement.

Rick was a giver his whole life and one of the kindest human beings, always seeing the positive in others.&nbsp;&nbsp;He served his country in Vietnam, his state as a social worker, and his family as a devoted caregiver for Sherrie in her later years as well as a supportive father to Jillian in all her endeavors.&nbsp;&nbsp;Rick was a dedicated servant and rarely asked or expected much in return.

He moved to Leawood, Kansas in 2023 to be closer to Jillian and her family and lived in the Fairways of Iron Horse retirement community until his health deteriorated in recent months.&nbsp;&nbsp;Rick was fondly remembered by his fellow residents for his smile, joy and habit of humming songs as he walked around the community.&nbsp;&nbsp;He enjoyed the new friendships made there and being close to family for Sunday night dinners and grandkids’ events.&nbsp;&nbsp;Rick also spoke fondly of and enjoyed his time with his coffee group friends from Concordia and Salina during his retirement years.

Rick is survived by his daughter Jillian Richard (Craig) and their two children, Griffin and Evie of Leawood, Kansas in addition to his brother James (Jim) Radcliffe of Runaway Bay, Texas and his children, Tia Langston (Mark) and Tege Radcliffe.

Rick was proceeded in death by his daughter Melissa Radcliffe (at birth), wife Sherrie, parents Clifford and Juanita Radcliffe, sister Freda Lou Radcliffe and sister in-law Dianne Radcliffe.

Rick’s celebration of life will take place on Monday, January 5, 2026 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kansas.&nbsp;&nbsp;The family will receive friends at 10 am with a service to follow at 11 am.&nbsp;&nbsp;Inurnment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery and military honors will be conducted by Ft. Riley.&nbsp;&nbsp;Pastor Bob Burns will officiate the service.

Lonnie Stephen Cathey, 74 of Abilene passed away December 5, 2025 at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan. 

He was born June 9, 1951 in McAlester, Oklahoma the son of Bernie and Loraine (Butler) Cathey. In 1975 Steve joined the United States Army, serving 4 years. 

He was united in marriage to Patricia Jean in November 3, 1978 in Abilene. Steve worked for the Abilene Police Department for 29 years, earning the rank of Captain, where he was known by many as Captain Cathey. He was currently working as a guard at the Eisenhower Museum. Steve is survived by his wife, Pat of the home. Three sons: Benjamin Michael Cathey and wife Fuyan; Lonnie Stephen JR Cathey and wife Tish and Robert Joseph (Cox) Cathey. Grandchildren: Arden, Arissa, Michael Zane, Daniel, Matthew, Lauren and husband Rory Startzman and Kelsey and husband Billy Needham. Great-Grandchildren: Madelyn, Harlow, Khloe and Mason. Two brothers: Mark Cathey and wife Jackie and Michael W. Cathey and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Brenda Barlow.

Patricia “Pat” Lou Moore, 89, of McPherson, KS peacefully passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025, surrounded by family at Salina Regional Health Center.

Patricia was born in Eufaula, OK, the daughter of William W. H. and Lola Mae (Jacobs) Hopkins. She graduated from Eufaula High School in 1954 and continued her education at Draughon’s Business School in Oklahoma City. On November 19, 1954, Pat was united in marriage to Verne D. Moore in Eufaula, OK. They were blessed with three children: Lynn, Steven, and Karen.&nbsp; Pat and Verne shared many happy years together until his passing on April 17, 2009.

Pat worked in several secretarial positions over the years, but caring for her family was always her number one priority. She had a servant’s heart. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she belonged to the Shalom Sunday School class and also hosted a Life Group in her home. She was a faithful prayer warrior and prayed daily for her family.

Pat and her dear friend, Barb Thyr, cherished their time together. Her church friends and sewing friends were especially dear to her, and she was also a member of the Prairie View Retirees Group. A talented seamstress, she lovingly quilted many blankets and quillows for her family members. She was known to be very organized and kept a meticulous house and yard. Patricia and Verne also enjoyed tending to their flower and vegetable gardens together.

She is survived by her children, Lynn Moore of McPherson, KS and Karen (Merle) Thiessen of Inman, KS; brothers, Marty (Catherine) Hopkins, Doug (Ann) Hopkins, and Max (Karen) Hopkins; seven grandchildren, Krissy (Marion) Martinez, Austin Moore, Lindsey Moore, Abigail (Tyler) Geissler, Grant (Sarah) Moore, Seth Thiessen, and Jessica (Zane) Padilla; four great-grandchildren, Julian Moore, Noah Geissler, Eli Geissler, and Chandler Moore; and many extended relatives and friends. Pat enjoyed belonging to a ”vast” group of double cousins all near Eufaula.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son, Steven Moore.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Stockham Family Funeral Home.&nbsp; The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 12, at the First Baptist Church.&nbsp; A graveside service will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, December 15, at Duck Creek Cemetery in Mounds, OK.

Patricia “Pat” Lou Moore

Allie Maye Tullos Woods, age 89, of Salina, Kansas, formerly of Arlington, Texas, passed away on December 6, 2025 surrounded by family.

Allie was born on&nbsp;August 8, 1936, in&nbsp;Chester, Mississippi, to&nbsp;Avery L. and Ida Dennie Tullos. She was one of three daughters and was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters,&nbsp;Alice Faye Tullos Baugus, her twin, and&nbsp;Eva Lee Tullos Prewitt.

On&nbsp;July 17, 1957, Allie married&nbsp;Robert Franklin Woods Jr.&nbsp;in Dallas, Texas. They shared 17 years of marriage before his passing. Allie was a devoted mother to&nbsp;Michael Deen Woods, who preceded her in death, and&nbsp;Tenya Woods Tallon.

Allie lived a life rooted in Scripture and prayer. She read through the entire Bible many times and treasured God’s Word daily. Her calling as a&nbsp;registered nurse&nbsp;was a reflection of her servant’s heart. She cared for others with compassion, patience, and dedication. She also found joy in reading and cooking and had a special love for owls, a little delight that brightened her days.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law,&nbsp;Tenya and Joe Tallon, and by her grandchildren:&nbsp;Amanda (Michael) Scott,&nbsp;Robert-Michael Woods, and&nbsp;Carly (Mitch) Wofford.

A&nbsp;Celebration of Life&nbsp;will be held in Salina, Kansas, at&nbsp;University United Methodist Church&nbsp;on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 1:00 pm. A&nbsp;funeral service and burial&nbsp;will follow in Arlington, Texas, at&nbsp;Moore Funeral Home &amp; Memorial Gardens&nbsp;on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 11:00 am.

Juan Francisco Leones, 35, of Salina, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, December 6th, 2025.

Juan was born on March 14, 1990, in Kansas City, Missouri. 

A beloved son, brother, and father, he touched the lives of everyone around him. Juan was dedicated and hardworking, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. His unmistakable cackle of a laugh could light up any room, and his kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He served as the Maintenance Director at Kenwood View Health and Rehabilitation Center, where his reliability and work ethic were deeply appreciated.

Juan is survived by his two children, Journi and Easton; his mother, Kelly Cole (Jeff); his father, Juan Leones; his brothers, Jason Leones and Matthew Reyna (Kathleen); his grandparents, Connie Johnson, Tim Banks, and Sara Searle (Richard), and Judy Shorter (Rick); his aunts, Jennifer Anderson (Josh) and Doris Cheney (Taylor); his uncle, Scott Banks (Amber); and his nieces and nephews—Chloe, Camila, Caitlyn, Aria, Champ, Carter, and Emery—as well as many cousins.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Aron Reyna, and his cousin, Abagail Eklund.

Cremation was chosen, and a memorial service will be announced later.

Harold Wilfred Crowdes, Jr., 88, a Marquette, KS resident most of his life, peacefully passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Rice County District Hospital in Lyons, KS.&nbsp;

Harold was born on November 14, 1937, in Yuma, AZ, the son of Mary Roberta (Baker) and Harold Wilfred Crowdes, Sr.&nbsp; He graduated in 1955 from Marquette High School and continued his education at Bethany College, Lindsborg.&nbsp; Harold was a great athlete, and at one time, held a pole vault record for the state. He also excelled at football.

He spent most of his working career as a foreman at Central Plastics. Following retirement, he enjoyed golfing and trips to Las Vegas.&nbsp;

He is survived by a son, Randall Crowdes of Little River, KS; a sister, Thelma Nelson of San Antonio, TX; a granddaughter, Angela (Nathan) Tyler of Olathe, KS; two great-granddaughters; one niece; and two great-nephews.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Crowdes; brother, Jim Crowdes; sister, Jeanette Carlton; daughter, Chelly Crowdes; and nephew, Jason Hamel.

A private graveside service will be held in the Marquette Cemetery.
