Harold Mannsoared on eagle's wings to Heaven and into the arms of Jesus on November 13, 2020. He was born on February 26, 1932 to Willard and Lola Mann.

Harold and Marian married on December 25, 1990. They enjoyed 30 wonderful years together and attended Emmanuel Foursquare Church in Salina, KS. Harold was well-known as a very kind, giving, and loving man!

Harold is survived by his wife Marian and his brother Bill Mann, and also his children and stepchildren: Donna Parson (Ed), Marla Gooding (Stoney), Paul Mann (Donna), Linda Flemming (Ted), Beverly Trout, Susan Martin (Michael), Debra Herron (Blaine), 27 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Harold was preceded in death by brothers Dave and "Boots" Mann, his sister Gloria, daughter Cheryl, and sons Harold, Jr and Steve Stenzel.

A "Celebration of Life" service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 21, at Emmanuel Foursquare Church, Salina.

Mary H. Waugh, 89, died on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Western Plains 
Medical Complex in Dodge City. She was born on June 29, 1931 at Dighton
 the daughter of Harry Oscar &amp; Lulu May (Morgan) Glenn. She married
 Vernon Robert “Bob” Waugh on May 13, 1951 at Dighton. He died on 
November 19, 1984. 
Mary graduated from Dighton High School in 1949 and earned her Bachelor 
of Arts in Interior Design in 1983 and her Master’s Degree in Fine Arts 
in 1985 from Fort Hays State University. She was an extremely talented 
artist and an avid reader and particularly enjoyed murder mysteries. 
She was an incredibly strong woman who was fiercely devoted to her 
family. She was a longtime dispatcher for the Lane County Sheriff 
Department. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Dighton 
and was active in the Arts Council and Lane County Historical Society. 
She is survived by 7 Children- Vernon Robert “Bob” Waugh, Jr. of

Todd Tyrone Toman, age 61, formerly of Ellsworth, Kansas, passed away November 13, 2020, at Hays Medical Center.

He was born July 27, 1959, in Ellsworth KS to William, “Bill” and Jacqueline “Jackie” (Hoopes) Toman.

He is survived by his daughter, Jessica
 (Kye) of Salina, son Sam of McPherson, stepdaughter Anna (Jason) of 
Wichita, and stepson Joe, of Toronto, ON Canada. Grandchildren Cylus and
 Khloe of Salina, and Gregory and Fredrick of Wichita. &nbsp;He is also 
survived by his brother Blain (Pier) of Ellsworth, and a sister Tina 
(Mark) of Hutchinson.

Todd was preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life, his wife Mary Allen.

Cremation has been chosen and a memorial service is to be held at a later date.&nbsp;

&nbsp; Frances Jane "Fran" Rogers, 80, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 8:10 a.m., Saturday, November 14th, at her home. Frances was born in rural Goessel, Ks. on August 13, 1940, a daughter of Mary (Penner) and Albert Ratzlaff. Frances attended the Antioch grade school and graduated from Goessel High School, Goessel, Kansas. She then attended Bethel College, Newton, Kansas where she received her Teaching Certificate. She was a member of Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church. Frances Jane Ratzlaff was united in marriage to Robert Ralph "Bob" Rogers on May 28, 1965 at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church, Goessel, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in Emporia, Kansas. In 1967, the couple moved to McPherson, Kansas and they were blessed with the birth of two children, a daughter and a son, Ranada and Brian. Frances was a homemaker and she took great pride in providing for her family in this manner. She also worked as an elementary school teacher having taught at the William Allen White Elementary School, Emporia, Kansas and Harmony Country School, McPherson. Frances was a member of a quilting group with the First Mennonite Church. Frances enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading, gardening, and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She is survived by her children, Ranada January, of Little River, Kansas and Brian Rogers and wife Theresa, of Wichita, Kansas; her siblings, Norman Ratzlaff, of Newton, Kansas, Marlin Ratzlaff and wife Anita, of Aurora, Colorado, and Rosalie Duerksen and husband Marvin, of Canton, Kansas; her three grandchildren, Morgan January, Colin January, and Amanda January; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Mildred was born January 25, 1936 in Burden, Kansas to Troy and Amanda (Hess) Folger.&nbsp; She married Bernard Lee on June 2, 1957 in Viola, Kansas.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son, Dale Lee.&nbsp; She is survived by her brother, Lloyd Folger; son, Paul (Hazel) Lee; daughter, Lynn Gehring; 7 Grandchildren; and 10 Great-grandchildren.

Mildred Elaine Lee

Irma Elaine Ames Brewer passed from this earthly existence to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on November 12, 2020 at her residence in Concordia, Kansas due to a battle with COVID-19. Irma was born to the union of George Nelson Ames and Ruth Rosamond Bochoven Ames at their home in the Highland area east of Norway, Kansas on June 27, 1931.

Irma attended District 48 country school near that home, along with her siblings, Geraldine, Eileen, Nona, Dean and Ron. Their Ames and Bochoven cousins and other neighborhood children joined them there for an enriching educational experience, given the challenges of making a living from farming during the Dirty 30s and World War II.

Following her Eighth Grade Graduation, Irma attended and received her High School Diploma from Concordia High School in 1949 (her Junior year she went to Haddam High School). While in school in Concordia, she worked several places, including the Western Auto Store. Irma attended Kansas State (then College) for one year, before marrying Dean Decker Brewer on Kansas Day, January 29, 1950.

To their marriage, well-loved children Dana, Diane, JoDee and Sheri were born.&nbsp; Their firstborn Dana, was born after Irma suffered polio during that pregnancy. &nbsp;Most of their childhoods were lived in the Brewer home built by Dean’s grandparents, John and Mary Ellen Brewer, south of Norway. Dean and Irma farmed with Dean’s father, “Joe” Brewer, following several years that Dean taught Junior High age students and served as Principal of Norway Grade School. Irma worked for a number of years as a transportation Aide and CNA at Sunset Nursing Home, Concordia.

Irma was a very practical person and she wanted her children to learn the necessities in life, like knowing Jesus, cooking, sewing and gardening along with the niceties in life, like good manners, appreciating music and serving others.

Irma and Dean served Christ in their churches, Highland Baptist, Norway Evangelical United Brethren, Concordia Baptist and Our Savior’s Lutheran, Norway.&nbsp; She was a wonderful homemaker and always made guests, including their children’s friends, feel welcome.&nbsp; Irma and Dean always lived their lives doing for others.

Irma fought through polio to raise her children and back surgery and cancer to be Grandma B to her beloved grandchildren.

Irma was preceded by her parents, George and Ruth Ames, her husband, Dean Brewer, her siblings, Nina Jean, Geraldine ”Gerry” and husbands Milton Stensaas and Royal Johnson, Eileen and husband, “Lee” Combs, Nona Hedstrom’s husband, Loren and Dean Ames wife, Fern.

She is survived by son, Dana Brewer and wife Tina, Concordia, and their daughter, Marie Brummett and her husband, Garrett, Wichita; daughter Diane Johnson and husband, Rick, Snowflake, AZ; daughter JoDee Rothfuss, husband Mark, Concordia and children Sarah Hauber, husband Joseph and children Dean and Amelia “Millie”, Lenexa; Isaac Rothfuss&nbsp; and wife Samantha, Smithville, MO; and daughter Sheri Johnson, husband Kevin, Concordia and children Joshua Johnson, Overland Park, KS, Ashleigh Johnson, Tulsa, OK and Addison Johnson, Bartlesville, OK; sister, Nona Hedstrom, Concordia and brothers, Dean Ames, Aurora, CO and Ron Ames and wife Marilyn, Brighton, CO.

Because Irma and Dean were survivors of polio and due to the current pandemic, the family will require masks at a private family burial on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Valley Cemetery, Norway at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor David Redmond officiating.&nbsp; Visitation will be Tuesday, November 17, 2020 from 1-8 pm at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.&nbsp; &nbsp;A Celebration of Irma’s life among us is planned for next summer, around the time of what would have been her 90th&nbsp;birthday.&nbsp; The family would dearly love to greet extended family and friends, but Irma and Dean would not want you to put your safety above their consolation.

Irma Elaine Ames Brewer

Edward H. Kegle, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Park Villa Nursing Home, Clyde, KS.&nbsp; He was born on Aug. 23, 1937 in St. Joseph, KS to Aldemar L. &amp; Marcelline (Ouellette) Kegle.

On August 23, 1958 he married Emma Derousseau at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph, Kansas.&nbsp; He was a lifetime carpenter.

Edward was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus both of Clyde.

Survivors include his &nbsp;6 children, Louis Kegle, Clyde, KS.; David Kegle, Modesto, CA.; Anne Kegle, Hayward, CA.; Robert Kegle (Debbie), Oakley, CA.; Eddie Kegle, Minneapolis, MN.; Edith Kegle, Ormond Beach, FL.; brother, Bill Kegle, San Bernadino, CA; sister in law, Elaine Begnoche (Dean), Clyde, KS.; 13 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

&nbsp; Funeral services for Steven R. Wilson, age 76, of Manhattan, formerly of Salina and Abilene will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the Bethel Cemetery near Abilene. Steven passed away peacefully with his loving family on Friday, November 13, 2020. He was born February 19, 1944 in Abilene the son of Bert and Catherine Zelma (Fawcett) Wilson. He attended local schools and graduated from Abilene High School. Steve worked for A&amp;R Freight in Denver for many years as an accountant and eventually drove a truck for Price Truck Line retiring in 2009. He enjoyed collecting coins, and horses, fishing, reading, especially his Bible, and watching his beloved Denver Broncos. But his greatest joy was his family especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his two beautiful daughters Cheryl McCormick and her husband Brian, Stephanie Chitwood and her husband Dan both of Manhattan, their mother Josephine, and four grandchildren. Steven R. Wilson

SALINA -&nbsp;Romaine Stanley Swenson, 76, passed away November 13, 2020. He was born May 1, 1944 in Lindsborg, Kansas to Leonard and Agnes (Johnson) Swenson.

Romaine graduated from Salina High School in 1962 and from Kansas Wesleyan University in 1966. At Wesleyan he was inducted into the Lambda Iota Tau International Literature Honor Society. He played the violin in the Salina Civic Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Eric Stein through high school, college and as a young adult. He pursued post graduate doctoral studies at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkley, California. His professional career began teaching high school English in Halstead and Ellis, Kansas. He enjoyed volunteering for pulpit supply for the greater Salina area churches.

Romaine worked at Stevenson's Clothing in Downtown Salina part-time through college and later he became a partner in the leased shoe department. This venture inspired entrepreneurship in him, he created and launched Romaine's Shoes in Salina and Emporia.

He was united in marriage to Gaylene Peres on June 19, 1971 in Aliceville, Kansas. Two children blessed their union Jennifer Kaiser (Matthew) of Leawood, Kansas and Brian Swenson (Karissa) of Salina, Kansas. They have five grandchildren, Faith and Orion Kaiser, and Madelyn, Cordell and Chloe Swenson.

Romaine was an avid reader and had an extensive personal library. He had an infectious personality and never knew a stranger. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He held fast to his faith and personal relationship with Jesus Christ all of his life.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Grace Baptist Fellowship Church, 400 E. Crawford, Salina. A visitation to receive friends and family is scheduled one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Fellowship Church or The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

Elizabeth Mary Light, 94, of Salina, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020. She was born December 28, 1925 in Tampa, Fla.

Marshall William “Bill” Voll, 73, climbed the golden stairway to heaven to meet his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, November 8, 2020.&nbsp; For several years he had been unable to walk and do other things he loved to do, due to I.B.M. (Inclusive Body Myositis).&nbsp; When Covid 19 struck, he could not fight any longer.

Bill was born February 19, 1947 in Barron, Wisconsin to Clarence Marshall (Red) Voll and Katherine (Laning) Voll.&nbsp; The family moved to Salina when Bill was only 3 and lived here the rest of his life.

Bill graduated from Salina Central High school in 1966 and worked at the Salina Country Club during his school years.&nbsp; He joined the Navy after graduation where he served for 4 years active duty as a chief assistant to the head officer because he did not have had criminal record.&nbsp; Sadly, he was never on a ship, but he said it was “Ok” because he would have probably gotten seasick the whole time.

Upon returning from active duty, Bill served 2 years in the Naval Reserves and attended Salina Vo-Tech to learn printing and to become a machinist.

After working for Kancen Printing, he began working at Federal Mogul, then Great Plains Manufacturing where he worked twenty-four years before his illness forced him to take early retirement.

Bill was a 25+ year member of the Salina Masonic Lodge 60, Isis Shrine and the Oriental Band until it dissolved.

On January 1, 2001 at 1:00am, Bill married Patricia Joan (Pat) Vignery.&nbsp; No chance to ever forget the anniversary!

As a longtime member of Salina First Baptist Church, Bill served in several offices.&nbsp; He was on the Board of Trustees, an usher, Men’s Out-Of-Touch group, Sunday School assistant teacher, Bible Alive and Awana helper and had 15 years perfect attendance.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia, brother; James Frances (Sue), sister; Sherrie Atwood, step grandchildren; Jason Terkildsen, step-granddaughter; Janiece Fousek, step-great-grandsons; Gabriel Fousek, Trenton Nordell and Brandon Trow.

Proceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law; Doyle Atwood, nephew; Kevin Voll, stepdaughter; and son-in-law; JoBeth and Duane Terkildsen.

Ruth was born on October 27, 1947, in Richmond, CA to Bernhard and Kathryn (Backlund) Amdahl. The family moved to Westminster, CO when she was seven. Ruth graduated from Ranum High School (Westminster, CO) in 1965. She attended Northeastern Jr. College in Sterling, CO. In 1981, she was united to Louis (Louie) J. Coyle. Ruth has a younger brother, Kenn Amdahl and his wife, Cheryl, of Eugene, OR. Ruth and Louis’ children are Cynthia Coyle of Canton, KS, Jay Halsted and wife, Tammy, of Greeley, CO, Mark Coyle and wife, Sarah, of Fort Collins, CO, Shawn Halsted and wife, Nickoel of Hildreth, NE, and Adam Halsted of Colorado. Ruth and Louis enjoyed raising two of their grandchildren, Shian and Caleb Halsted. Ruth has 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and 14 nieces &amp; nephews. She enjoyed the constant flow of her children’s friends in her home. Ruth enjoyed camping in the mountains, motorcycle rides with Louis, and dancing like she was at a sock hop. She loved photography, especially night shooting. Connie was a longtime member of Emmanuel Church in Abilene, KS where she loved to serve others, gather with friends, and praise the Lord. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Orrin and Olave Condit, husband Ned Stirtz, and brother in law Kenny Wetzel. She is survived by her sister Orrene Wetzel of Abilene, KS; sons Roger Stirtz (Renee) of Liberty, MO and Ryan Stirtz (Sarah) of Abilene, KS; grandchildren Mason (Carly), Caden, Bennett, Cooper, and Abram Stirtz; and numerous other relatives and friends. LeEnora Louise Heina was born on May 26, 1921, on the family farm near Cuba, Kansas, the daughter of Louis and Anna (Kalivoda) Klaumann. LeEnora grew up on the farm, attending White School, and then graduating from Cuba High School, class of 1938.

On August 12, 1940, LeEnora married Charles V. Heina at St. Edward Catholic Church in Belleville, and to this union of over 71 years, two children were born, Steven and Louise.

LeEnora and Charles made their home in Cuba, and she worked as a nurse’s aide, and a homemaker.

She was actively involved in St. Isidore Catholic Church and the St. Isidore Altar Society and Council of Catholic Women. She was also a member of the Republic County Czech Club, and she was Kolache Queen for multiple years.

LeEnora passed away on November 9, 2020, at Republic County Hospital in Belleville, at the age of 99 years, 5 months, and 14 days.

LeEnora is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles in 2011, grandson Nicholas Kieffer in 2001, and her brother, Wesley Klaumann and his wife Clara.

She is survived by her son, Father Steven Heina of Clyde, and daughter Louise Kieffer and her husband Michael of Jacksonville, Arkansas. LeEnora is also survived by her granddaughter, Kimberly Kay and her husband Jesse, and their children, Caroline and Lydia, of Rogers, Arkansas.

Public viewing will be held on Sunday, November 15th, 2020, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home in Belleville. A private family Rosary and Vigil Service will conducted by Fr. Steve Heina.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Edward Catholic Church in Belleville on Monday, November 16, 2020.

A public committal service will be held at St. Isidore Catholic Cemetery in Cuba, Kansas, on Monday, November 16, 2020, at 11:30 a.m. Family and friends attending the cemetery services are asked to park in the church yard, and to remain in their cars or stand next to their cars. The services will be broadcast over a public address system.

&nbsp; Marcelaine Jeanette "Marcey" Clark, 92, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away at 8:01 a.m., Wednesday, November 11th, 2020 while in the company of family members at McPherson Hospital . Marcey was born in Dousman, Wisconsin on May 4, 1928, a daughter of Lucille A. (Zick) and Walter F. Miller. Marcey attended Dousman Elementary School, Dousman, Wisconsin, and graduated from Hartland High School, Hartland, Wisconsin in 1946. She then attended Whitewater Teachers College, Whitewater, Wisconsin. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in McPherson and was a former member of the First United Methodist Church of Kenosha, WI Marcey was a homemaker and she took great pride in providing for her family in this Manner. She then became a Special Education Teacher having taught in Kenosha County Wisconsin. Marcey was a member of the Wisconsin Teachers Association. Marcey enjoyed her job as a teacher, traveling, was a veracious reader, knitting clothes and sweaters, mittens for her family and spending time with her family and friends. Marcelaine J. Miller was united in marriage to Merlin Ralph Clark on May 15, 1948 at Whitewater, Wisconsin. The young couple established their first home together in Whitewater. This union was blessed with the birth of five children born to this union, Constance, Sally, Martin, Gwen and Janis. She is survived by her children, Sally Thigpen and her husband John, of Franklinton, Louisiana, Martin Clark and his wife Rita, of Gilbert, Arizona, Gwen Gately and her husband Bill, of Windom, Kansas and Janis Beliunas and her husband Harry, of Burlington, Wisconsin; her brother Edwin Miller and his wife Annette, of Hartland, Wisconsin. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren - James Thigpen(Karen), David Thigpen, Michael Clark(Carry), Beth Ramsey(Joe), Cheryl Schroeder, Rachel Sain, Karen Jonas,(Jeremy), Wendy Allan, Scott Allan, Mitch Allan, and Philip Hawes and 15 great-grandchildren. Loris “Vernon” Davis, 90, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020 in Lincoln. He was born June 3, 1930 in McDonald, KS to Sewell Willis Davis and Mary Ellen (Buck) Davis.

&nbsp; Vernon served in the United States Navy from 1950 to 1954 then made a 26 year career as a Trooper with the Kansas Highway Patrol. He married Roberta Walter in McDonald on September 4, 1951. Vernon was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ellsworth.

&nbsp; Vernon is survived by his son, Scott Davis (Linda) of Kanopolis; daughter, Rachelle Kobbeman of Lincoln; grandchildren, Melissa Thurman (Jarrold), Jeff Meyer (Kitty), Keri Murphy (Jon), Stacey Davis, Jennifer Davis, Tiffany Keegan (Joe), Liberty Taylor (Brandon), Jessie Hubbard (Jayson), and Trent Kobbeman (Cori); 19 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; and sister, Ruthie Kidwell of Kearney, NE. Edwinna Mae (Hosmer) Potenski, born April 26, 1923, Clay Center County Hospital and was the eldest daughter of three of Edwin E. (Pete) Hosmer and Susanna (Kretz) Hosmer.&nbsp; She was a mother, grandma and a great-grandma.&nbsp; &nbsp;At the age of 97, Edwinna succumbed to the COVID 19 virus on the afternoon of November 6, 2020.&nbsp; She graduated from Clay Center County High School in 1941.&nbsp; She&nbsp; attended Brown Mackie Business School in Salina, Kansas&nbsp; Edwinna started working in Washington D.C. at the Defense Department in 1942. Shortly after, she met her husband Bill Potenski who was stationed on a ship there.&nbsp; They met at a roller rink and got married in Washington D.C. and Rose Marie was born there.&nbsp; Edwinna and Bill returned to Clay Center where a few years later, in 1950, they built their home on Lincoln street where Edwinna lived the rest of her life.&nbsp; Edwinna loved to bake dessert and made all kinds of cookies, cakes and pies and continued to bake all her life.&nbsp;

With her husband, the late William J Potenski and her son, the late Ron, they purchased Hosmer Sheet Metal Company from her father, Edwin E. (Pete) Hosmer in 1974.&nbsp; Her family, through her father and grandfather, Henry L. Hosmer, has owned a business in Clay Center since 1919.&nbsp; Her grandfather was a “tinner.”

Edwinna was an active member in her community where she belonged to the American Legion Auxilary and was the longest continuous member of 88 years.&nbsp; She was the ”Poppy Lady” of the year in 2017.&nbsp; She served in many offices during her lifetime and some of them included: vice-president, president, Membership , Historian, Executive board, Junior Activities, Child Welfare, Poppy Garden, Treasure, Constitution &amp; Bylaws, Audit Committee, Membership, Girls State, Past Presidents and most recently on the Executive Board.&nbsp; Edwinna was a faithful member and will be greatly missed.

Edwinna was also an active member of the local V.F.W. and was a past-president.&nbsp; She was member of the Clay Center Busines and Professional Women’s Club since 1972.&nbsp; Edwinna was selected as Woman of the Year in 2002-2003.&nbsp; She has served as local treasurer, secretary, historian, scholarship chair as well as serving on the calling committee and numerous other committees.

Edwinna spent her early years raising five children&nbsp; She loved gardening, fishing and talking with her friends.&nbsp; She especially enjoyed cooking and baking was her passion.&nbsp; Edwinna not only baked for her family but also donated and shared her “goods” with others whenever possible.&nbsp; She also made and canned pickles, beets, green beans and tomatoes and tomato juice and salsa.&nbsp; Her cubboards were always full and she was ready to share her big supply.&nbsp; All were welcome to her home and especially to her dinner table.&nbsp;

Edwinna will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her; both family and friends.&nbsp; She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin E. (Pete) Hosmer and Susanna (Kretz) Hosmer, her husband William (Bill) J. Potenski, son, Ronald D. Potenski,and her sisters. Edwinna Mae (Hosmer) Potenski

Ron was Born July 21, 1948 to William Joseph and Edwinna Mae (Hosmer) Potenski in Clay Center, Kansas.&nbsp; At the age of 72, Ron succumbed to the COVID 19 virus on the evening of November 5, 2020&nbsp; He graduated from Clay County Community High School in 1966 and attended Kansas State University before enlisting in the Navy, &nbsp;May 6, 1968.&nbsp;&nbsp; He served during the Vietnam War aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Lexington based in Pensacola, FL.&nbsp; Ron received a National Defense Service Award while in the Navy.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;He was discharged January 30, 1974.&nbsp; He returned home to Clay Center that year, obtained his electrician and plumber licenses and with his father and mother started their business of Potenski and Son Heating and Cooling.&nbsp; Ron, also, worked as a substitute rural mail carrier and eventually became a full-time rural mail carrier for the Clay Center Post Office.&nbsp; He retired from the Post Office and continued to work at his business of Potenski and Son Heating and Cooling until his death.&nbsp; Ron was an active member of the community through the support of the American Legion, serving on the board of C &amp; R Credit Union, as a City Council Member, and as an elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center.&nbsp; Ron’s first love was his gardens and growing and tending all his vegetables.&nbsp; He grew many varieties of tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, cucumbers and green beans in particular.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;The garden produced an abundance of vegetables so that his mom, Edwinna, could can and freeze all she wanted but they &nbsp;always had enough to give away to friends and neighbors.&nbsp; His second love came later in life.&nbsp; He found the joy of Polka Dancing and that is where he met his dancing partner for life, Althea Kenkel.&nbsp; They traveled from Texas to Minnesota to Ohio and in between to Polka dances and festivals and made many friends during their adventures.&nbsp; They were often seen dancing on Molly B’s Polka Party on RFD TV.&nbsp; Ron loved his cat, Blackie, and would spoil him all the time. &nbsp;&nbsp;Ron loved his family very much.&nbsp; He was known to spoil his nephews and they loved his dearly. Ron was with his mother every day and often twice a day. &nbsp;Ron was very caring, loving, and had a bright smile and a sense of humor.&nbsp; He was a best friend anyone could have.&nbsp; Ron was extremely articulate in everything he did; he always went above and beyond.&nbsp; He enjoyed life and will be greatly missed by all his family and all who knew and loved him.&nbsp;

Ron was preceded in death by his&nbsp; grandparents, Edwin E. (Pete ) Hosmer and Susanna (Kretz) Hosmer,&nbsp; and his father, William (Bill)&nbsp; Joseph Potenski&nbsp; He was survived by his mother, Edwinna, who outlived him less than 24 hours, also a victim of the COVID 19 virus.&nbsp; He is survived by his siblings, Rose Marie (Jim) Wilson, William E. (Kathryn) Potenski, Nancy Jean Stedl, and Peggy Ann (Philip) Williams, nephews, Jason, Matthew, and John L. Stedl, Nicholas and Christopher Potenski, and Bennett, Preston and Tyler Williams as well as great- nephews and nieces, Andrew Stedl, and Rohan and Kamran Stedl, Cole, Adeline and Ella Williams, and Henri and Louisa Williams and David and Alexandria Potenski.

 </figure>Ron was Born July 21, 1948 to William Joseph and Edwinna Mae (Hosmer) Potenski in Clay Center, Kansas.&nbsp; At the age of 72, Ron succumbed to the COVID 19 virus on the evening of November 5, 2020&nbsp; He graduated from Clay County Community High School in 1966 and attended Kansas State University before enlisting in the Navy, &nbsp;May 6, 1968.&nbsp;&nbsp; He served during the Vietnam War aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Lexington based in Pensacola, FL.&nbsp; Ron received a National Defense Service Award while in the Navy.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;He was discharged January 30, 1974.&nbsp; He returned home to Clay Center that year, obtained his electrician and plumber licenses and with his father and mother started their business of Potenski and Son Heating and Cooling.&nbsp; Ron, also, worked as a substitute rural mail carrier and eventually became a full-time rural mail carrier for the Clay Center Post Office.&nbsp; He retired from the Post Office and continued to work at his business of Potenski and Son Heating and Cooling until his death.&nbsp; Ron was an active member of the community through the support of the American Legion, serving on the board of C &amp; R Credit Union, as a City Council Member, and as an elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center.&nbsp; Ron’s first love was his gardens and growing and tending all his vegetables.&nbsp; He grew many varieties of tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, cucumbers and green beans in particular.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;The garden produced an abundance of vegetables so that his mom, Edwinna, could can and freeze all she wanted but they &nbsp;always had enough to give away to friends and neighbors.&nbsp; His second love came later in life.&nbsp; He found the joy of Polka Dancing and that is where he met his dancing partner for life, Althea Kenkel.&nbsp; They traveled from Texas to Minnesota to Ohio and in between to Polka dances and festivals and made many friends during their adventures.&nbsp; They were often seen dancing on Molly B’s Polka Party on RFD TV.&nbsp; Ron loved his cat, Blackie, and would spoil him all the time. &nbsp;&nbsp;Ron loved his family very much.&nbsp; He was known to spoil his nephews and they loved his dearly. Ron was with his mother every day and often twice a day. &nbsp;Ron was very caring, loving, and had a bright smile and a sense of humor.&nbsp; He was a best friend anyone could have.&nbsp; Ron was extremely articulate in everything he did; he always went above and beyond.&nbsp; He enjoyed life and will be greatly missed by all his family and all who knew and loved him.&nbsp;Ron was preceded in death by his&nbsp; grandparents, Edwin E. (Pete ) Hosmer and Susanna (Kretz) Hosmer,&nbsp; and his father, William (Bill)&nbsp; Joseph Potenski&nbsp; He was survived by his mother, Edwinna, who outlived him less than 24 hours, also a victim of the COVID 19 virus.&nbsp; He is survived by his siblings, Rose Marie (Jim) Wilson, William E. (Kathryn) Potenski, Nancy Jean Stedl, and Peggy Ann (Philip) Williams, nephews, Jason, Matthew, and John L. Roger Keith Parker, age 84, of Dwight, Kansas, passed away November 7, 2020, at his residence.

He was born June 3, 1936 in Parkerville, Kansas to Marion and Hazel (Kraus) Parker. He attended Parkerville grade school and was a graduate of Dwight Rural High School with the class of 1954.&nbsp; Roger married his high school sweetheart June Church on June 3, 1956.

Roger and his family were in the refined fuel and propane business for 45 years and during that time he was a member of the Kansas Petroleum Marketers and Kansas LP Gas Association, also serving as President of the Gas Association in 1987.

Roger was a member of the Dwight Presbyterian Church.&nbsp; He served on the Dwight City Council prior to being Mayor of Dwight from 1971 to 1977 and again from 1981 to 1986.&nbsp; He was on the Fire Department and served as Fire Chief for 25 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter Brooke Nicole Pereira.

Roger is survived by his wife June and their three children: Randel (Lori), Sandra (David), Linda (Scott); 7 grandchildren: Jenny (Guillermo), Wendy (Matt), Kyle (Kyle), Kirsti (Austin), Tyler (Bailey), Leslie (Matt), Michael (Alicia); 12 great-grandchildren: Ansley, Marin, Riggin, Parker, Rhett, Lakyn, Charlie, August, Brenley, Nash, Emery, and Bennett; brother Leland Parker and sisters Norma and Lucille.

A private family graveside will be held at a later date.

Roger Keith Parker

Paul George Muglerwas born on March 20, 1931 in rural Clay County, Kansas to Fred and Rosie Mugler. He left for his heavenly home on November 10, 2020.

God, family, education and agriculture were always the focus of Paulâ€™s life. Ebenezer Methodist Church was the family church and there Paul found a relationship with his Lord. His first eight years of education were at the one-room Fairview School. He then attended Clay Center High School, concentrating on agriculture with FFA, and becoming the State FFA President. He was also the salutatorian of his graduating class.

Paul began his college career at Kansas Wesleyan University, and in his Sophomore year, accepted the call to ministry. In his Senior year, he pastored Brookville Methodist church, and met the love of his life, Marjorie Davis. The two were married on December 23, 1953 in her family home in Pritchett, Colorado.

The newlyweds lived in Evanston, Illinois while Paul attended Garrett Theological Seminary. Upon graduation, the couple moved back to Kansas, and they served churches in Wakefield, South Hutchinson, Plainville, Winfield, Liberal and Salina, for a total of forty-four years of ministry.

Four children blessed their union: Donna (Tim) Surles, Greg (Patty) Mugler, Marcy Cone, and Jeff (Sonja) Mugler. In addition were ten grandchildren: Shawn Mugler, Brooks Mugler, Autumn Mugler, Carly Waller, Amanda Karbowski, Paul Pittman, Ashley Kimball, Josh Mugler, Kayla Fitzgerald, and Jessica Mugler, and ten Great-grandchildren: Madison Mugler, Gracie Mugler, Braden Mugler, Anabell Mugler, Lydia Waller, Cedric Waller, Ella Pittman, Ava :Pittman, Margot Kimball, and Remington Kimball.

Those preceding him in death were his parents, Fred and Rosie Mugler, brother Walter Mugler, sister Velma and husband Harold Steinbach, parents-in-law Clark and Ruby Davis, and his precious wife of 56 years, Marjorie Mugler.

Surviving family includes brother Herb (L'Jeane), Evelyn Mugler, Dean (Darlene) Davis, and a host of nieces and nephews.

He loved and supported Kansas Wesleyan University,(claiming it to be the â€œbest school in Kansasâ€), and Salina First United Methodist Church. He was blessed to remain a beloved member of the church family over many years after retirement. Contributions may be made to Salina First United Methodist Church.

The family would also like to say how grateful they all are for the kindness and care given to him at Presbyterian Manor over the last several years, and also to Kindred Hospice of Salina.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020 at the First United Methodist Church. To attend the funeral services friends must call First Methodist Church at 785-825-0228 to reserve limited seating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary with the family greeting visitors from 5 to 7 p.m. that evening.

Jason Paul Anderson, aka Jaybird/Bird dog passed away on November 7, 2020.  Jason was born June 17, 1977,  mother; Tammy M. (Powell :Anderson) Gray; dad Gary D. Anderson and (biological father David Rathbun).  He graduated from Logan Magnolia High School in Logan, Iowa in 1995.  Jason married Stephanie Beah on July 4, 1997. They had one son, Clay Paul Dean Anderson.  Later in life he met his life partner Jamy Reidelberger.  They had one son, Paul Leo Andrew Anderson.  Jason was baptized in the Lutheran Church in Tescott, KS.

William J. “Bill” Mckinney, 88, of Vermillion, SD formerly of White City, KS passed away peacefully at his home on November 9, 2020.

Bill was born March 21, 1932 in Prattville, AL to Leo and Ethel (Rawlinson) Mckinney. Bill served in the Army for 2 years followed by a 10-year enlistment in the Airforce based in Wichita, KS. There he met Frances Sellin and they married July 21st, 1957. After leaving the Airforce they settled in White City.

Bill worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for John Deere in Herington, KS and then for Neosho Construction in Council Grove, KS until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Frances and brothers: Ira, Donald and Bryant, and sisters: Frances Thorn and Becky Roberts.

He is survived by his two daughters, Marsha (Al) Kinzie of Vermillion, Melisa Jones of Chandler, AZ and a grandson Justin (Kim) Campbell and great granddaughters Makayla and Gabby all of Kettering, OH.

Bobby Ray New, age 78, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 5, 2020.&nbsp; He was joined moments later by his wife Janet New.

Bobby was born on May 13, 1942 in Eubank, KY to the late Albert E. New and Eva Jane (Jones) New. He was a 1961 graduate of Eubank High School. After graduating, Bobby worked at Cornett Machine Shop in Somerset, KY for a year before enlisting in the United States Air Force in 1963, where he served honorably for 22 years. He retired in June of 1984 as a Master Sergeant.

He married Nisa Deekrathok Sawyer, he became a loving father to 3 children, Pojana, Charley, and Roger. In June of 1989, Bobby married his soulmate, Janet and added 4 stepchildren, Stacey, Victor, Lee and Darcy whom he adored as his own.&nbsp;

Bobby and Janet were devoted members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Bobby was a do it all handyman, a jack of all trades, he enjoyed and was skilled in repairing any and all things mechanical and technical. He had a passion for exploring his family genealogy.&nbsp;&nbsp;

He is survived by a daughter, Pojana Joseph (Authur) of Dallas,TX; two sons, Charley New (Ashley) of Waycross, GA and Roger New of Grand Prairie, TX; two stepdaughters, Stacey Hanson (Steve) of Independence, MO; Darcy Whatcott (Matt) of Keller, TX; and two stepsons, Victor Allred (Theresa) of Kansas City, MO and Lee Allred (Michelle) of Kansas City MO; a sister, Betty Lou Wilson (Don) of Ferguson, KY; a brother, Billy New (Sue) of Science Hill, KY; and a special niece, Tish Ann.

He is preceded in death by his father, Albert New and mother, Eva Jane Jones; two sisters, Lona Pittman and Wilma Baston; and two brothers, Dennis F. New and Chester G. New.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Melby Mortuary on Saturday, November 14, 2020.

Bobby Ray New

Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Janet Sue New, 79, passed away with her loving husband, Bobby Ray New, 78, at their home in Mesa, AZ.

Janet was the only child of Duane Neil and Margaret Lucille (Meeker) Bennett, born on Oct. 11, 1941 in Otego, Kansas. Her birth was excitedly anticipated as she was the first grandchild on both sides of the family and her great, great grandmother Mahala Bennett (whose husband Seth, a Union soldier) enjoyed Jan’s first year of life.

Janet spent her entire childhood in the farming community of Mankato, KS. Both sets of her grandparents resided in Jewel County and she was privileged to be surrounded by family. She was always close to her grandparents, aunts and uncles--family was everything to the Bennetts and Meekers. Janet graduated from Mankato High School, Mankato, KS in 1959. After high school Janet moved to Denver, CO to go to Beauty School with her best friend and started life as a beautician in 1960, staying in Denver. She went on a blind date and three months later married Milburn L. Allred on Aug. 28, 1960. On their first anniversary Stacey arrived, Victor came 11 months later. The family later moved to Kingston, NY in 1967. Lee joined the family in 1968 and their last child, Darcy arrived almost 2 years to the day. The family later moved to the Lexington KY area in 1975.&nbsp; Jan earned her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree.

While attending a large LDS singles conference in Atlanta, GA Jan meet the love of her life—Bob New. Bob moved with his family of three children from Fort Walton Beach, FL to Science Hill, KY where they married June 3, 1989. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. Bob was raising three children—Pojanna (PJ) born in 1972, Charley joined the family a short 2 years later after Bob finished his tour in Viet Nam. Bob’s grand finale Roger arrived in 1984. Roger was almost five when they married and Roger called Jan, Mom from day one. Roger loved to ride in Bob’s pick-up snuggled in between his parents. Jan and Bob later moved to Brigham City, UT where they raised Roger close to his nephew, Russ and his nieces Emily and Rachel. Upon retirement, they split their time between Arizona and Utah. They eventually bought a house close to family in the Mesa and enjoyed their grandkids and three great grandkids.

Jan was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all of her adult life. She served in many callings but her very favorite was as a teacher in the Relief Society (Women’s LDS organization). She particularly loved family history work and completed one line of her family back to the 1600’s. She was proud of her heritage, especially that her line included grandfathers that fought in both the American Revolutionary and Civil Wars. She appreciated her husband’s service in the US Army of over 20 years. He later inspired a son and grandson to follow his footsteps. Jan enjoyed many crafts, but especially scrapbooking and taking care of her rosebushes. She was a dedicated full-time homemaker most of her life; raising five children. She loved the holidays, mostly spent without an extended family as they lived in both Texas and Kansas. She truly loved being a grandparent and great grandmother; for the last 30 years she enjoyed living by a daughter and later by her great grandchildren. Her last years living in Mesa were her happiest—she attended many programs and concerts that her grandchildren participated in and she never missed a chance to see her great granddaughter cheer at a local JR High School. She was a gentle, thoughtful soul who will be sorely missed by her family, neighbors, and church friends. She was quick to laugh and enjoyed watching movies all her life. She also enjoyed playing card games from a very young age. Her only unfilled desire was for siblings and she taught her children that the greatest inheritance she would ever give them was each other. Jan and Bob enjoyed eating lunch out most days and going to all kinds of antique and estate sales.

Jan is survived by five children-- Stacey Hansen (Steve), Independence, MO; Vic Allred (Theresa), Parkville, MO; Lee (Michelle) Kansas City, MO; Darcy (Matt) Whatcott, Keller, TX and Roger New (adopted at age 18), Grandview, TX. She was also blessed with two step-children—Charley (Ashley) New, Waycross, GA and Pojana (Arthur) Joseph, Dallas/Fort Worth, TX. Twenty-five grandchildren and six grandchildren from both sides of the family graced her life.

She was preceded in death (for a few short minutes) by her husband Bob New; her parents Duane and Margaret Bennett and four loving great grandparents.

Celebration of Life Services will be held 1:00 p.m., on Oct. 14, 2020 at the Melby Mortuary, Mankato KS with Matt Whatcott officiating. Burial with her husband will immediately follow in the Burr Oak Cemetery, Burr Oak, KS.

 </figure>Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Janet Sue New, 79, passed away with her loving husband, Bobby Ray New, 78, at their home in Mesa, AZ.Janet was the only child of Duane Neil and Margaret Lucille (Meeker) Bennett, born on Oct. 11, 1941 in Otego, Kansas. Her birth was excitedly anticipated as she was the first grandchild on both sides of the family and her great, great grandmother Mahala Bennett (whose husband Seth, a Union soldier) enjoyed Jan’s first year of life.Janet spent her entire childhood in the farming community of Mankato, KS. Both sets of her grandparents resided in Jewel County and she was privileged to be surrounded by family. She was always close to her grandparents, aunts and uncles--family was everything to the Bennetts and Meekers. Janet graduated from Mankato High School, Mankato, KS in 1959. After high school Janet moved to Denver, CO to go to Beauty School with her best friend and started life as a beautician in 1960, staying in Denver. She went on a blind date and three months later married Milburn L. Allred on Aug. 28, 1960. On their first anniversary Stacey arrived, Victor came 11 months later. The family later moved to Kingston, NY in 1967. Lee joined the family in 1968 and their last child, Darcy arrived almost 2 years to the day. The family later moved to the Lexington KY area in 1975.&nbsp; Jan earned her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree.While attending a large LDS singles conference in Atlanta, GA Jan meet the love of her life—Bob New. Bob moved with his family of three children from Fort Walton Beach, FL to Science Hill, KY where they married June 3, 1989. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. Bob was raising three children—Pojanna (PJ) born in 1972, Charley joined the family a short 2 years later after Bob finished his tour in Viet Nam. Bob’s grand finale Roger arrived in 1984. &nbsp; Mildred's funeral service will be live streamed and a link to view it will be posted closer to service time. Mildred Rose (Buller) Hodson, 102, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 9, 2020, at The Cedars, McPherson. Mildred was born January 23, 1918, the daughter of Jacob S. and Eugenia (Ehrlich) Buller. Over her almost 103 years, she lived in various towns where her father was a high school teacher. Since she grew up in an art and music loving environment, she was able to recall enjoyable experiences she had. Her parents taught her to be kind, thoughtful, and generous with people who crossed her path. Mildred graduated from Herington High School in 1936 and then attended the Art Institute in Kansas City where she met Walt Disney. Because of the Depression, she returned to Herington where she worked in the Penney’s store and as a telephone operator. During this time, she met George Hodson, and they married August 6, 1938, at the Herington Methodist Church. They moved to a farm near Burdick where they continued to live until 1981 when she and George moved to McPherson for their retirement years. Mildred was always using her artistic ability as she made signs for George’s trucks, signs for various businesses, and best of all, the chalk drawings she did for programs. In addition, she taught Sunday School all of her years at Burdick. Then, she taught Sunday School classes at McPherson United Methodist Church. A special joy for Mildred was when she received handmade cards from grandchildren of students she had taught at Burdick. Mildred loved her family and was always interested in all of their lives. Her love for her Savior was evident in her life as she shared with family and friends. Mildred’s sweet smile and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Louise Pritchard and husband, Leroy, and Janis Jantz and husband, Ron; grandchildren, John Pritchard, Jim Pritchard and wife, Melanie, Deann Gadalla and husband, Dr. Aly, Lori Klatt and husband, Brad, and David Jantz. Also, there are six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and son, George Melvin Hodson. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, November 14, 2020, at First United Methodist Church, McPherson, with Pastor Phillip Clay officiating.
