April 3, 1921 - January 30, 2021

Elva Mae (Crane) Henne, 99, of Roxbury passed away January 30, 2021 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan, KS. She was born on April 3, 1921 to the late William L. and Elizabeth (Heintz) Crane, on their farm southwest of Roxbury. She was a lifelong McPherson County resident. She attended and graduated from the Enterprise School a mile north of the family farm. Elva married Ivan Henne, December 29, 1946 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Salina. She was a dedicated house wife and mother. Elva was active in her church and community. She was a member of several church ladies groups over the years. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the McPherson County Historical Society, and she sat on the Roxbury Library Board. Survivors include her sons: Larry Henne (Elaine), of Holyrood, KS and Lowell Henne (Jacque), of Paxico, KS; sister: Bettie Gillenwater, of Wichita, KS; as well as 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Elva is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Ivan; son: Dwight Henne; brothers: Dolphy, Royce, and Leslie Crane; and sisters: Mariam Serviss, Nettie Macklin, and Bonnie Redger.

The family will greet friends for visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Crick-Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 3, at Valley View Cemetery, Roxbury, with Pastor Nancy Modin officiating.
