Pauline Cravens, 88, died December 25, 2021 in Clay Center, KS.&nbsp; She was born on August 1, 1933 in Idana, the daughter of Herman and Marjorie (Green) Woellhof.&nbsp; Pauline was raised in the Idana community.&nbsp; 

She worked as a clerk for KPL before earning a degree in education.&nbsp; Pauline taught special education in Clay Center for several years.&nbsp; 

She married John Cravens in 1996.&nbsp; They made the home in Maize, KS where Pauline taught elementary education.&nbsp; 

John preceded her in death on April 5, 2020.&nbsp; She was a member of the United Methodist church.&nbsp; Pauline was also preceded in death preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother

Stanley “Zeke” Douglas Palen was born on January 12, 1951 in Beloit, Kansas, the son of Victor and Elaine Remus Palen. He died early Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at the Resident Care Center in Beloit at the age of 70.

Stan graduated from Tipton High School and completed two years at the Beloit Technical College.

In 1983, he was united in marriage with Barbara Corpstein. Three children were born to this union, Jason, Jessica, and Jacob. They were privileged to spend 38 years of marriage together.

His true passion was farming, and he was proud to have built and established the farm that he and his family lived on. He also had a love for his farm dogs, and his special fur friend, Oscar.

In his spare time, he had a special interest in vehicles, especially his Stingray Corvette. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Delores and her husband Louis Magette; and his brother Bud.

Survivors include his wife Barbara; children Jason of Tipton, Jessica and her husband Gabriel Sampson of Manhattan, and Jacob of Glen Elder; one granddaughter, Audrey; his sister Dianne and her husband Mickey Budke of Tipton; sister-in-law Diane Palen; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be at 11a.m. Friday, December 24 at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Tipton followed by burial in St. Boniface Cemetery. The family will greet friends at 9:30 a.m. Friday, followed by a rosary service at 10 a.m. Friday, all at the church. Cremation has taken place. 

Memorials may be given to the Tipton schools or Catholic Charities of North Kansas.

Martha Lynne Peterson (Walker) born to James C. Walker, DVM, (deceased) and Carolyn Cassidy (Rundell) on August 21, 1968 in Concordia, Kansas. She is proceeded in death by her sister Melanie and grandparents.

Martha worked many years in hotel restaurant management and as a front office manager for CarStar. 

She put her faith in God at an early age and sought to live out her love for Jesus by opening her life and home to serve others.

Martha was known to many for her sweet spirit and kind heart. She was an active member of Celebrate Recovery, first in Schererville, Indiana and in various communities in Colorado. After she moved to Colorado Springs, she became a member of a Cancer Support Group, AAHS Football booster club and regularly attended Woodman Valley Chapel. She enjoyed crafting, planning the annual RGD, travel to her sons, nieces and nephews various sports events and staying involved in her boys and grandson’s lives. 

Martha professed her faith in Jesus throughout her struggle with cancer and was often heard saying, “I win when I get to heaven.”&nbsp; She lost her six-and-a-half-year battle with colon cancer on December 8, 2021.

Martha is survived by her husband Scott Peterson, sons Michael (Eunice) Walker and Malachi Ray, grandson Brock Walker, stepchildren Scotty, John and Rachel, stepgrandchildren Aoife and Joshua, sisters Jamie (John) Harrison and Nicole (Steve) Powell, stepmother Pat Walker, nieces and nephews Jonathan (Chystin), Jeremy (Halie), Jacob (Kristen), Jaclynne, Jordan, Ethan, Dillon, Aubrie and a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at Woodman Valley Chapel Rockrimmon campus, 280 E. Woodmen Rd., Colorado Springs, Colorado in the Stone Chapel on January 13, 2022 at 4:00 p.m., with a small reception to follow.

&nbsp;In addition, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, 325 W. 6th&nbsp;St. Concordia, Kansas on January 15, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a burial at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Wayne Kansas, with Pastor Earl Hale officiating.

Douglas Craig Lyngen was born November 25, 1951 in Ortonville, Minnesota, the son of Palmer Lyngen and Phyllis Cravens. He had been an Abilene resident for the past 38 years.

Douglas attended high school in both Oklahoma and Missouri. 

He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1969 to 1975 as a Warfare Systems Specialist with the Avionics Maintenance Squad working on the B-52 Bombers. Prior to settling down to start his family, he worked on train wrecking crews and enjoyed skydiving. 

In 1980 his first daughter Haley was born followed by Becky in 1982 and Courtney in 1985. 

The family relocated from Oklahoma to Abilene after Becky was born, where he has resided ever since.

 Douglas loved racing, bowling, softball, football, fishing, hunting, gambling, and drinking beer, not necessarily in that order. Above all, his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and friends. 

Over the course of his lifetime, Douglas had a wide variety of jobs including train wrecking, welding, insurance sales and truck driving. Douglas was an over-the-road truck driver for the past 25+ years delivering all over the United States. He was still driving for TSI Kansas Inc. out of Clay Center up until the time of his passing. 

Douglas had a tremendous heart, contagious laugh and never knew a stranger.

Douglas passed away on December 23, 2021 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City surrounded by his three daughters and oldest grandson. 

He is survived by his daughter Haley and husband Larry Jones of Abilene, daughter Becky and husband Tim Mason of Udall, and daughter Courtney and husband Dan Kelly of Austin, TX. He also has six grandchildren- Jayshaun Jones (20), Logan Mason (14), Liberty Mason (12), Josephine Mason (7), Palmer Kelly (3) and Quinn Kelly (1). 

Memorial services for Doug will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 31, 2021 at Danner Funeral Home with Pastor Stan Norman officiating. Doug will be laid to rest at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Webb City, Missouri at a later date.

Mr. Larson passed away Friday, December 24, 2021 at the Abilene Memorial Hospital in Abilene. He was born November 3, 1940 in Wadena, Minnesota, the son of Peter and Hattie (Ritchye) Larson.

Following graduation, Martin served his country in the United States Army serving in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired from the Army following a 26-year career. He then worked for Great Plains Manufacturing as a machinist before retiring from there. On May 9, 1960 Martin was united in marriage to Marjorie Wilburn. She preceded him in death in 1993. He then married Charlotte Reeves on February 12, 2014. She also preceded him in death. Martin enjoyed camping, fishing, and playing cards. His hobbies include woodworking and community service projects through Boy Scouts Gideon’s and the VFW. He blessed people with his faith and discipleship. He is survived by his daughter Cheryl Johnson of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, stepson John and his wife Heidi Reeves of Abilene, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wives, daughter Pamela Norman, son-in-law David Johnson, and his parents. Michael H. Pantano, 57, of Abilene passed away December 19, 2021 at Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan, KS. He was born January 16, 1964 in Fort Carson, Colorado, the son of Michael G. and Catherine (Hamlett) Pantano. 

On June 2, 1984 he was united in marriage to Sarah M. Whitney in Baldwin City, Kansas. She survives of the home. 

Mike worked for Grain Belt Supply Inc. in powder coat maintenance. He also worked 24 years in the auto body service. 

Mike was a member of the World Fast Draw Association, First Southern Baptist Church and was an enthusiastic fisherman. 

Mike is survived by his loving wife Sarah of the home, sisters-in-law Martha (James) Wright; Naomi (Steve) Burgress, both of Baldwin City, Kansas and Ruth (Earl) Peine of Garnett, Kansas and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Services for Mike will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at the First Southern Baptist Church in Abilene with Pastor David Parker officiating. Services will be live streamed on Facebook at FSBCAbilene at 10:30 a.m. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m., Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery in Baldwin City, Kansas. Mike is survived by his loving wife Sarah of the home, sisters-in-law Martha (James) Wright; Naomi (Steve) Burgress, both of Baldwin City, Kansas and Ruth (Earl) Peine of Garnett, Kansas and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services for Mike will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at the First Southern Baptist Church in Abilene with Pastor David Parker officiating. Services will be live streamed on Facebook at FSBCAbilene at 10:30 a.m. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m., Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery in Baldwin City, Kansas. She graduated from Abilene High School and this is where she met the love of her life Mervin Lee Sexton. Mervin and Cecelia were united in marriage on March 3, 1953 at the Great Lakes Naval Base, Illinois and were blessed with five children; two granddaughters they adopted; 13 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters Jane Veal, Abilene, KS; Irene Glennon, Holt, MO; and Linda Zey, Prairie Village, KS; daughters Christine Graham, Topeka, KS and Angie Page, Wichita, KS; grandchildren Rachelle Fitzwater, Levi Fitzwater, Kate Sexton, Annabelle Wilson, Jesse Sexton, Molly Meeks, Crystal Anderson, Keefe Hodges; Adam Ross, Jeremy Ross, Matthew Ross; stepgrandchild Colt Hoke and her great-grandchildren; son-in-law Bruce Fitzwater Derby, KS and daughter-in-law Evan Sexton Manhattan, KS. Cecelia carried a tattoo that stated “Acceptance.” She believed everybody was worthwhile and everybody was important. You could always hear her talk about how blessed she was. She always looked for the best in everyone. She loved Mervin dearly and her family. Mervin and Cecelia were devoted to praying the rosary, a prayer that is humble and simple yet powerful. She is with Mervin and now they are together again which was her wish. Lynn was born on May 30, 1961. She was married to Adrian A. Lapka, who served for 28 years as District Magistrate Judge of Ottawa and Saline Counties.&nbsp; 

Lynn and Adrian were married in Salina on October 18, 2003. Lynn was an award-winning radio deejay personality/writer/producer before seeking a career in nursing.&nbsp; She received all but one semester of her nursing training from Belmont University in Nashville, TN.&nbsp; &nbsp;She had experience in home health and long-term care, as well as hospital and prison-based health care.&nbsp; She joined the Salina Tech Allied Health Program in 2010 as adjunct instructor through her recent death. 

Lynn had many hobbies... an avid botanist who loved working in her green house, as well as knitting, crocheting, quilting, and making clothes for her grandchildren.&nbsp; She was a self-proclaimed Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys fan who proclaimed earlier this year when the two teams played one another, “It’s a day I can’t lose!” … all spoils to the winner and lack of empathy for the losing team… which was right in line with her witty, charismatic, and uniquely positive outlook on life.

Lynn is survived by her mother Caroll Morris, of Marquette, Kansas; brother John Morris of Denver, Colorado; stepson Carlo and wife Alicia Lapka of Frisco, Texas; stepdaughter Erika Lapka of Miami, Texas; seven&nbsp; grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. &nbsp;Lynn was preceded in death by her husband Adrian A. Lapka and father John R. Morris. &nbsp;

Denise was born April 25, 1969, in Sycamore, IL to Mr. and Mrs. Larry and Johniece Goodnite.&nbsp;She was the oldest of six children to the Goodnite household.

She graduated from high school in 1987.&nbsp;

Denise Married Todd Burrow on May 13, 1989.&nbsp;They had three children together:&nbsp; Codi, Zachary and Mickinzi.

Denise was unique in that she found great joy and purpose by being a homemaker.&nbsp; She considered her greatest responsibility to nurture and care for her family.&nbsp;Denise was not interested in personal recognition; in fact, she would flee from it.&nbsp;She was content to watch her children grow and release them to the world. In the same way, Denise had a quiet, deep and genuine love for Jesus Christ.&nbsp;She had trusted in Jesus to save her from her sins when she was a little girl and spent the last several decades growing to love Him more.&nbsp;

Denise was a vociferous reader, she particularly liked historical fiction.&nbsp;She also kept her finger on the pulse of current events and freely expressed her opinion regarding the state of affairs.&nbsp;

She was an incredible writer, and if you were privileged enough to have received a card or letter from her, you would never forget it.&nbsp;

Denise is survived by her husband Todd; her three children and their spouses, Codi (Tess), Zachary (Melissa), and Mickinzi (Jordan) Stevens; and grandson, Lucas Burrow.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Imani and Bailey Burrow.

Liz worked at Minneapolis Good Samaritan as a CNA for over 20 years.&nbsp; She was an avid bowler and was on several leagues throughout her years even attending state bowling competition.&nbsp; Liz was a member of EHU, she was a booster club mom, coached softball, and loved doing crafts.&nbsp;

Liz was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.&nbsp;

Survivors are her husband Jerry; son Paul and wife Jane Small; daughter Brandy and husband Mike Stover; grandchildren Maddilynn, Michaela, Harlee, Triston, Sadie, and Luke; her two special cats Bob and George; and two sisters.&nbsp;

Liz was born on August 27, 1950, in Aurora, Illinois to Lee and Lotte (Wagoner) Taylor.She graduated from Junction City High School.&nbsp; Liz and Jerry were united in marriage on June 22, 1969, in Junction City.&nbsp; To their union, two children were born.Liz worked at Minneapolis Good Samaritan as a CNA for over 20 years.&nbsp; She was an avid bowler and was on several leagues throughout her years even attending state bowling competition.&nbsp; Liz was a member of EHU, she was a booster club mom, coached softball, and loved doing crafts.&nbsp;Liz was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.&nbsp;Survivors are her husband Jerry; son Paul and wife Jane Small; daughter Brandy and husband Mike Stover; grandchildren Maddilynn, Michaela, Harlee, Triston, Sadie, and Luke; her two special cats Bob and George; and two sisters.&nbsp;Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 2 at Wilson Family Funeral Home. &nbsp;Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 3 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. &nbsp;Memorials may be made to Dickinson County Hospice and left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Delores M. Peck passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2021 at the Salina Regional Health Center in Salina. She was born October 18, 1954 in Greenville, South Carolina the daughter of Gail and Fern (McIlvain) Emerick. A longtime resident of the area, Delores graduated from Chapman High School with the class of 1972 and graduated from Emporia Vocational College with a dental assistant degree. She was a dental assistant for many years in the Abilene area. Delores enjoyed crafts, raising Boston Terriers, babysitting, but especially loved being with her family. On September 8, 1973 she married Merle Peck in Chapman. He survives of the home. Other survivors include her son Jason Peck and his wife Theresa of Abilene, her daughter Marla and her husband Kyle Griffis of Enterprise, sisters Donna Gowen and her husband James of Sallisaw, Oklahoma,Dulce Royal of Fayetteville, Arkansas, sister-in-law Nancy LaRocque of Junction City, Kansas, and four grandchildren Noah, Sam, Ben, and Angie. Barbara Williams, 78, died peacefully Thursday, December 23, 2021, at the Hospice House in Hutchinson, Kansas.&nbsp;&nbsp;She was born in Wichita, KS on April 5, 1943, to W. Clarence and Lena (Morris) Layton.

Barb graduated from North High School, in 1961, and in the fall moved into the residence hall at Central College in McPherson, KS. She eventually met a young local man, Rodney Williams, and he aggravated her just enough that she eventually fell in love with him. The two were married August 17, 1963, and decided to make McPherson their home. They were blessed with one child, Bradley, born in May of 1967. She loved being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; and adored her close friends that became family as well. Barb was a collector and enjoyed finding new treasures and antiques. She also enjoyed her crafts, spending time with family and friends, and occasional visits to the casino.

Barbara is survived by her son Bradley (Carol) Williams of Pace, FL, her two grandsons Erich (Brandy) Williams of Milton, FL, and Samuel (Abby) Williams of McPherson, KS, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Barb was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Rodney Williams, her parents Clarence and Lena Layton, her brothers and sisters-in-law Lester L. (Barbara) Layton, Gerald D. (Elaine) Layton and Earl E. (Audry) Layton.

James Robert Herter, 85, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away, at 11:57 p.m., Thursday, December 23rd, 2021, at Pine Village, Moundridge. James was born in Great Bend, Kansas on May 21, 1936, son of Mildred L. (Sinnott) and Louis J. Herter. James attended St. Joseph's Catholic grade school in Ellinwood, Kansas and graduated from Ellinwood High School, Ellinwood, Kansas. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in McPherson, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. James worked as a Repair Mechanic for the National Cooperative Refinery Association, McPherson, Kansas for over 38 years and when he retired, he was a Compressor Repair Mechanic. James enjoyed golfing with his friends and was very good with his hands and loved spending time woodworking. James Robert Herter was united in marriage to Patricia Jeanette Kirmer on June 8, 1957, at St. Joseph's Church Ellinwood, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in Ellinwood, Kansas. This union was blessed with the birth of three children, two sons and one daughter, Robert, Janet, and Ronald. The family moved to McPherson in 1970. James Robert Herter

Ron’s life began on April 24, 1945 at Salem Hospital in Hillsboro. He was the son of Daniel M. Suderman and Edna (Harder) Suderman. Ron grew up on the family farm south of Hillsboro and resided on the farm until his passing. The farm remaining in the family for over 150 years was a source of pride for Ron and he was always more than happy to share the history, artifacts, and stories with friends.

Ron began his educational career at the Ridge School in 1951. Ron was proud of his one-room schoolhouse education and shared interesting accounts of teachers, students, and activities. It was about this time that Ron committed his life to the Lord and was baptized on July 7, 1957 at Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren church by Reverend Allen Fast. Ron graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1963 and then attended Kansas State University in Manhattan completing a short course in Agricultural Science.

Ron served his country in the United State Navy from July 12, 1965 until July 11, 1971. During that time, he was recalled to active duty for service in the Vietnam War for 2 years. For his service he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. He was also authorized to wear the “E” device on his Navy uniform. He was proud of his service and he continued to serve his community and country as an active member of the American Legion.

He was united in marriage with Sharon Kay Hiebert on April 28, 1972 at the First Mennonite Church in Hillsboro. Together they shared over 49 years of marriage. Ron provided for his family through farming, owning and operating his backgrounding cattle business, and through his custom silage harvesting business. He served on the Kansas Livestock Association board of directors in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He met many interesting people through his businesses, some of whom became lifelong friends.

After retirement, Ron continued to serve his country and community in various capacities. Even as his health declined he attempted to stay active and visit his family when his health allowed. He enjoyed golfing, spending time outdoors, reading, and watching his grandchildren. Ron was known for his quick wit, strong intellect, and unique sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.

His greatest joy was family which includes his wife Sharon of Hillsboro, children Dan (Becky) Suderman of Peabody, Diane (Mike) Meisinger of Hillsboro, and Nichole (Randy) Hendrickson of Pretty Prairie; grandchildren Chase, Callie, and Kenzie Meisinger, Madeline and Ella Suderman, and Grace, Emma, Kate, and Josie Hendrickson, sister Elva Suderman and sister-in-law Harriet Suderman of Hillsboro. Ron passed away on December 22, 2021 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita at the age of 76 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Arthur and Dale Suderman.

Ron’s family will gather with family and friends on Monday, December 27 from 5-7 pm at Yazel-Megli funeral home in Hillsboro. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 28 at 10:30 am at Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren church with committal services at 10:00 am in the Ebenfeld cemetery.

Wanda Fae Murphy passed away December 23, 2021 at Chapman Valley Manor. Wanda was born April 15, 1922 near Navarre, KS, the daughter of Lena (Eddy) and William Claude Bowden. She graduated from Dickinson County Community High School in 1939. On October 17, 1943, she was married to John Murphy. They farmed and made their home near Navarre for 66 years before moving to Chapman, Kansas. Wanda was a member of the Navarre Church of the Brethren, New Basel United Church of Christ, and Chapman United Methodist Church. Besides being a farm wife, she was a member of the local EHU, served on the election board, bus driver for many years and always there for her family. She was known to be a great cook and her fried chicken was the family favorite. Wanda is survived by children Jerry (Mary) Murphy of Omaha, Nebraska; Janet (Bob) Meyer of Chapman; and Kevin (Lynne) Murphy of Hope. Bruce Lacy, 68, of Salina, Kan., passed away on Monday, December 20, 2021. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., to George and Lillian Lacy. He joined the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam War. Shortly after his discharge he met his wife, Ethel “Mickie” Lacy, in Fairfield, Calif. They were married within three months of their first meeting. They would have been married for 44 years on April 1, 2022. Together they raised four children, James, Shomari, Jaclyn, and Shannon. He was also a grandfather to Marion, Deniseia, D’Vaughnte, Destiniey, Monè, Soleil, Ashara, Carter, and Gio’Vanni. Bruce has one surviving sister, who resides in Brooklyn, N.Y., Brenda Lacy.

Bruce’s first love was “Nature”. He earned a living and took care of his family doing what he loved the most, “Land Surveying.” After leaving surveying, he turned his attention to his second love, music. He met many amazing people from all over the world and from all walks of life. He shared the stage with many of the greats; The Whispers, The Temptations, Earth Wind and Fire, Tower of Power, and many more. Bruce also stood tall on his own stage during his musical journey. He contributed his talents as a writer, producer, and vocal performer to the family business, “Boss Mink Music and Production LLC”. In 2000, he joined his endeared musical family, “Hip Service,” out of Sacrament, Calif. The group dominated the Northern California music industry with the live performance shows. Bruce also won an award for “Entertainer Of The Year,” presented by BMA (Black Music Awards), which is now presented in Los Angeles, Calif.

After relocating to Salina, Kan., the town his wife grew up in, he met many warm an amazing people: Dr. Carolyn Hofer and her amazing team; Bethina Bruces, movie partner, they always reminded each other of the latest great movies and concerts; John and Cindy Zimmerman; Joe Jackson; Wendy Stein, who shared in his love of music; Caleb Rivera; Mike, Tammy and the Ad Astra family; Ed and Phyll Klima; Dr. Trent and Dr. Pam Davis; Dexter, his cookie buddy, and Ann Zimmerman; Ashley Wheeler; the late Flash Gorden; Nick La Marca; Sarah Crews; Anna Morawitz; Joe and the Zafija Band; Lori Brock; Brad Anderson of the “SPARK” crew; Bill Martin; Misty at the Art Center, who invited him to do a voiceover for one of their projects; Brent Magathan; Jane Gates; David and Janice Norland; and so many others.

Bruce was also grateful for Coach Doug Finch and Coach Ryan Modin for molding his grandson, Coach Marion Miller. Which brings us to his Basketball family. The Wentzel family and the Neuschafer family, and we definitely can't forget the “Grandparents Section” and all our adopted basketball sons.

It was important to Bruce to be a part of anything to do with the Arts and Music and Human Rights. He enjoyed the time and energy he put into supporting the Salina Arts and Humanities and serving on the Friends of the Museum Board and the Smokey Hill River Festival Entertainment Committee. He would always lend his support for the community whenever needed.

A deep love and respect goes to: The FIGU groups of Canada, Switzerland, Japan, Arizona, New York /New Jersey, India, North Carolina, Germany, Italy, Australia, Asia (Hong Kong), and Russia, who work tirelessly to share the, ”The Creation Energy Teaching”.

William "Bill" Brungardt

Jerald “Jerry” Dean Killen, 88 years, of Salina, Kansas, passed away on December 21, 2021, at Country Place, Chanute, KS, with his wife and daughter at his side, from congestive heart failure.

Jerry was born to Kenneth and Clara Killen on September 19, 1933 in Courtland, Kansas. He was united in marriage to Bobbie J. Mitchell on July 1st, 1958.

Jerry was a US Army Veteran, and was a 32nd degree Master Mason and member of the Shriners.

He is preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter Janet Lea Killen, siblings Audrey Lea Killen, Doris Arlene Jensen,.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Bobbie Killen, his wife of 63 years;&nbsp;sons Jay and Randy Killen; daughter, Karla Nothern and five grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Shirley Ann McGouch, Donna Jean Lancaster, Bradley Kenneth Killen. Jerry has many nieces, nephews and cousins he is leaving behind.

Funeral Services will be held at the Courtland (Kansas) Methodist Church, on Wednesday, December 29th, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. Burial with Masonic and US Military Honors will follow at the Courtland Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas, on Tuesday, December 28th, from 1pm – 8pm, with the family greeting friends from 4pm – 7pm.
