Durham - Mary Elizabeth Yates, 92, passed away January 18, 2022 at Hillsboro Community Hospital in Hillsboro. She was born October 1, 1929 in Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas to Emanuel and Frances (Sveska) Kuchda. 

She married James Yates May 30, 1955 at Leavenworth, Kansas. 

Survivors include sons David Yates of Marion, Mark (Tina) Yates of Linn Valley, Kansas; daughter Jane (Lee) Clark of Durham; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Private services to be held at a later date.
