Salina, KS -&nbsp;Donna Lee Vittoe, 80 years young, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Monday, April 10, 2023. She had been looking forward to this day, to meet up with other family and friends.&nbsp;

Donna was born July 15, 1942, in Conway, IA, to Frank and Edrie Gardner.&nbsp;

After 28+ years working for Walmart, she retired in Salina. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially those at Ray Avenue Baptist Church.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, brother Frances, and sisters Norma Chase and Linda Miller.&nbsp;

Survivors include sons Jay B. (Serpil) Vittoe of Florida and James F. (LeeElla) of Salina, brothers Keith Gardner of Missouri and Ron Gardner of Oklahoma, sisters Johanna Prayor of Kentucky and Mary Spidell of Salina.&nbsp;

Donna loved and enjoyed her six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and many other family and friends.&nbsp;

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Ray Avenue Baptist Church, 2801 Ray Ave, Salina, at 4 p.m., with Pastor John Day officiating.&nbsp;

Thomas Lee Goranson, 77, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022. He was born May 22, 1945, in Lindsborg, KS to Oscar Herbert and Irma Leora (Palmquist) Goranson. 

He grew up in McPherson, KS and graduated from McPherson High School in 1963. He graduated from Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS in 1967. 

In 1968, he married Marna Kay Norris. They later separated. 

Tom had jobs with Ryder and Peterson, Peterson &amp; Goss before working the majority of his life at Murfin Drilling Company, retiring in 2012. 

Tom was known for his sense of humor and his giving spirit. He supported many charities and volunteered earlier in his life at the Braille Association and The Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Tom was preceded in death by both parents; former spouse Marna Goranson; and sister-in-law Sheila Finkle (Perry). 

Survivors include daughters Amy McCaskey (B.J.) and Shelly Larson (Josh); grandchildren Jordyn, Cameron, Logan, Olivia, Carter, Kaelin and Tatum; sisters Kay Chinberg (Dennis) and Shirley Morris (Rex); sister-in-law Lee Norris (J.D. Bobbitt); and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Tom's life will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, April 16, in the fellowship hall at Bethany Lutheran Church in Lindsborg.

Bud’s life began on October 13, 1933, in rural Gridley, Kansas.&nbsp; He is the son of Johann and Mary Jenny (Rich) Schwindt.&nbsp;

 Bud was a graduate of Yates Center High School and a graduate of Washburn University.&nbsp; 

He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1955- 1957 after ROTC and was a F-86 Sabre pilot.&nbsp; 

Bud was united in marriage to his wife of 64 years Elizabeth “Liz” Herder on April 11, 1959, in Yates Center.&nbsp; 

He was an entrepreneur in every sense.&nbsp; Bud managed the flour mill and grain elevator in Whitewater, and was part-owner of a feed lot&nbsp;in the area.&nbsp; He was always involved in agribusiness and networking.&nbsp; He was a Butler County Republican precinct leader, served on the Berean Academy Board and was a member of Gideon’s International. 

Bud had a gift for Scripture memorization and teaching Scripture to others.&nbsp; His love and devotion to his Lord was evident all through his life.&nbsp; 

His greatest accomplishment and joy was his family which includes his wife Liz Schwindt of Whitewater; children Jacque ( Cecil ) Wiebe of Burns, Denise (Ethan) Busenitz of Whitewater, Jenny (Lewis) Wiebe of Newton and Darren (Karis) Schwindt of El Dorado; grandchildren Josh (Ashley) Wiebe, Jodi (Alan) Braun, Curtis (Bitty) Wiebe, Cindy (Melvin) Busenitz, Dan Busenitz, Dave (Rachel) Busenitz, Miah (Trish) Busenitz, Ben (Kara) Busenitz, Jesse (Laurie) Busenitz, Matt Busenitz, Kara Wiebe, Zac (Carol) Wiebe, Megan Wiebe, Dallas (Hannah) Wiebe, Micah ( Macie) Wiebe, Brooke Wiebe, Ashley (Austin) Melton, Alec (Ana) Schwindt, Drew (Pia) Schwindt, Heather Schwindt&nbsp; and Chase Schwindt; 45 great-grandchildren; siblings Mary Schrock, Naomi Rose, Paul (Joyce) Schwindt, Ruth Ann ( Richard) Johnson; sister-in-law Della Schwindt; and several nieces and nephews.&nbsp;

Robert Dean Demanett was born on June 2, 1957, in Concordia, Kansas, the son of Donald Dean and Neva Evelyn (Forshee) Demanett. He passed away at his home with his family by his side on March 13, 2023, at the age of 65 years, 9 months and 11 days.

Bob attended Concordia schools, graduating from Concordia High School class of 1975. He then attended Beloit Vo-Tech, where he earned a degree in carpentry.

He was united in marriage to Roxanna Scrivner on February 10, 1979, at the Methodist Church in Republic, Kansas.

Bob loved music and was a member of many bands and musical groups.

He also enjoyed golfing, camping, fishing and most importantly, spending time with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Dean.

His memories will be forever cherished by his wife Roxanna, son Jace Demanett and his wife Kelsey of Concordia, daughter Christy Demanett and her fiancée Matt Dorris of Wichita, daughter Danielle Demanett of Concordia, and his mother Neva of Concordia. Pa-Pa is also survived by his grandchildren Hunter, Arista, Genevieve, Imogen, Eviana, Harmony, Harper and Eliza. He is also survived by his brother Dennis and his wife Sue, brother Steve and his wife Linda, sister Deanna Giles and her husband Tom, many nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Memorial Services will be Friday, April 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at the Wesleyan Church in Concordia. &nbsp;

First Sgt. Wilbur "Bill" Smith Sr., 80, passed away on April 7, 2023 with family by his side. Born in Carol, Maine to Percy and Gertrude (Robinson) Smith. 

He was drafted in to the Army where he served two years in Korea. After returning home he got out of the Army and realizing his love for his country, reenlisted to serve a total of 24 years active duty. Time served in various stations across Europe, retiring as a 1st Sgt. 

After his military retirement he worked civil service for 15 years, then moved onto managing the American Legion in Greenleaf, Kansas. He was an amazing cook and baker. 

He believed in duty first. He loved his country and his family. He enjoyed bowling with two 300 (perfect) games, working on vehicles, hunting, fishing, and never passed up a game of cards. Wilbur is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Vernon, Randloph and Edward; sisters Helen Shedd, Mary Phurde; stepson Mario Madrid; grandson Garrit Wayne Smith; and many nieces and nephews. He was drafted in to the Army where he served two years in Korea. After returning home he got out of the Army and realizing his love for his country, reenlisted to serve a total of 24 years active duty. Time served in various stations across Europe, retiring as a 1st Sgt. After his military retirement he worked civil service for 15 years, then moved onto managing the American Legion in Greenleaf, Kansas. He was an amazing cook and baker. He believed in duty first. He loved his country and his family. He enjoyed bowling with two 300 (perfect) games, working on vehicles, hunting, fishing, and never passed up a game of cards. Wilbur is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Vernon, Randloph and Edward; sisters Helen Shedd, Mary Phurde; stepson Mario Madrid; grandson Garrit Wayne Smith; and many nieces and nephews. Alyce Amanda (Morgan) Honeycutt passed from this life on April 6, 2023, in the comfort of her home in Seabrook, Texas. She was born on November 12, 1942, in Belleville, Kansas. She was the daughter of Fred Pete and Gladys Pauline (Dodge) Morgan.

Amanda grew up in Belleville and attended Belleville Public School.

 She was married in October, 1960, and to this union two children were born, Staci and Sean. 

Amanda attended Cosmetology school in Salina, Kansas, and became a beautician. She then decided to become a teacher, always believing in higher education. She attended Cloud County Community College, Kansas State University, and the University of Houston – Clear Lake. She received degrees in elementary education, a master's in learning disabled, a certificate in gifted and a degree in administration.

On December 31, 1991, Wendall Bryan Honeycutt and Amanda were married at her friend’s home in Kremlin, Colorado. Amanda and Wendall enjoyed traveling, shopping, listening to music, dancing, and being by the water. 

Her grandkids meant everything to her. She loved taking them to museums, movies and Galveston. Besides being an avid reader, she loved decorating her home and was always surrounded by beautiful things.

Alyce Amanda Morgan Honeycutt is preceded in death by her parents Fred Pete and Gladys Pauline Morgan, sisters Fredda Lash, Bert Sasser, Arletha Taylor, and brothers Jack Morgan and Jerry Morgan.

Amanda is survived by her husband Wendall Honeycutt of the home, daughter Staci Strnad and her husband Jon of Belleville, son Sean Jensen of Deerpark, Texas, grandchildren Morgan and Grant Strnad of Belleville, and great-grandson Ryder Strnad. She is also survived by her sister Cheryl Eickmann and her husband Steve of Belleville.

Visitation will be Friday, April 14, 2023, from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m., with family greeting friends from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home in Belleville.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 15, at 2:00 p.m., at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, with Pastor Kevin Weston officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery, rural Talmo, Kansas.

Jerry J. Kinser, age 77, of Clyde, KS, left this earthly life on Friday, April 7, 2023 at the North Central Kansas Medical Center, Concordia, KS.&nbsp;

Jerry was born May 21, 1945 in Norton, KS to Joseph and Josephine (Von Schuetz) Kinser. The eldest of six children, he grew up on his family farm, was active in 4-H, band, and loved all sports.

He graduated from Jennings High School in 1963 and then Ft. Hays State University, where he met his wife, Josephine (Sandi) Marshall. They married March 5, 1966 and had two daughters, Jolene and Janell.

He received his master’s degree in education technology from Kansas State University. Jerry enjoyed teaching elementary students in WaKeeney, Weskan, Jamestown, and Concordia. After retiring, Jerry was an instructor at the Alternative High School in Concordia, taught driver's education to students in several districts, and was a substitute teacher at Clifton-Clyde. 

In addition to teaching, Jerry loved umpiring baseball, refereeing basketball and football, and especially enjoyed refereeing volleyball with his daughter, Janell. Once retired from that, he took to harassing the umpires and referees at his grandchildren’s sporting events.

He was a member of First Christian Church in Concordia for more than 38 years and served as an elder there for many years and served on the board of directors for Alpha Christian Children’s Home.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, wife (Sandi), brother (Tim Kinser), sister (Kay Ann Reedy), brother-in-law (John Stanley). 

He is survived by his daughters Jolene Girard (Patrick) of Clyde, and Janell McMillan (Scott) of Topeka; grandchildren Paige Shafferman (Jeff) and son Jack; Stephen McMillan (Emmelina) and children Elizabeth, Danny, and Nova; Dorian Fahey (Brett) and daughters Evyn, Isla, and Greer; Joseph McMillan (Susan) and children Abigail, Thomas, and Clarissa; Elias Girard (Fiancée, Katherine Holcomb); Adria Girard; Scott McMillan; siblings Linda Stanley, Janet Morrin (Damon), John Kinser (Kay), sister-in-law Mary Kinser-Cressler (Russell), brother-in-law Tom &nbsp;Reedy (JoAnn), and several nieces and nephews.

Jerry’s wish was to be cremated, and a memorial service is planned for Friday, April 21 at 10:30 a.m. at Chaput Mortuary in Clyde, KS officiated by Mr. Bernard Newell with a luncheon following at the Clyde Senior Center. A private family burial of the cremains is planned for the following day.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Alpha Christian Children’s Home or Park Villa Nursing Home in care of the funeral home.

He is survived by his daughters Jolene Girard (Patrick) of Clyde, and Janell McMillan (Scott) of Topeka; grandchildren Paige Shafferman (Jeff) and son Jack; Stephen McMillan (Emmelina) and children Elizabeth, Danny, and Nova; Dorian Fahey (Brett) and daughters Evyn, Isla, and Greer; Joseph McMillan (Susan) and children Abigail, Thomas, and Clarissa; Elias Girard (Fiancée, Katherine Holcomb); Adria Girard; Scott McMillan; siblings Linda Stanley, Janet Morrin (Damon), John Kinser (Kay), sister-in-law Mary Kinser-Cressler (Russell), brother-in-law Tom &nbsp;Reedy (JoAnn), and several nieces and nephews.Jerry’s wish was to be cremated, and a memorial service is planned for Friday, April 21 at 10:30 a.m. at Chaput Mortuary in Clyde, KS officiated by Mr. Bernard Newell with a luncheon following at the Clyde Senior Center. Cynthia Ann “Cindy” Ziegler, 62, of Salina, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023.&nbsp; She was born in Salina, Kansas on May 7, 1960 to Clarence Leo and Eileen Lucy (Spartz) Ziegler.

Cindy graduated from Salina Central High school in 1978 and attended Hutchinson Community College. Cindy worked as a manager for Pizza Hut in Salina for 25 years and is fondly remembered by many former employees and customers. She worked at Ace Hardware for the last several years and will be missed by her customers and work family.

 Cindy experienced serious health problems over the last 10 years but approached it all with strength, determination, resilience, a positive outlook and her dry sense of humor. Cindy most of all loved and was proud of her daughter and granddaughters.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Michael and Patrick; sister Carla.

She is survived by her daughter Courtney Ziegler (Cody Gentry) of Denver, Colorado; granddaughters Coralyn and Callie; siblings Randy (B. Eileen) Ziegler, of Russellville, AR, Marian McNally, of Salina, Rosalind (Rick) Lewis of Wamego, John Ziegler, of Salina; sister-in-law Pamela, of Hutchinson; and many cousins, nieces and nephews and her favorite cat, Mr. B.

Michael D. Scheibler, 61, Minneapolis, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023, at his home with his family by his side. He was born May 15, 1961, in Salina to Richard D. and Alta A. (Abrams) Scheibler.

He moved to Bennington when he was six months old and remained a lifelong Ottawa County resident. He was a 1979 graduate of Bennington High School and he then worked as a millwright for over 45 years. Michael enjoyed traveling, working with his hands, a good book, and his grandchildren. He was a “fix it guy” and there wasn’t much he couldn’t fix.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard, whom he loved dearly.

Survivors are his wife Debra Scheibler; mother Alta Scheibler; daughters Rien (Jim) and Rilee; stepsons Willie and Thomas; brothers Steven (Joyce), Donald (Cristi), and David (Erica); seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 11 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00. Fransisca Morales, age 77, died Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Western 
Prairie Senior Living Community in Ulysses, Kansas. She was born 
November 8, 1945, in Anson, Texas, the daughter of Nasario and Josefina 
(Ramirez) Guzman. 
Fransisca grew up in Del Rio, Texas. She married Pedro Morales on 
January 30, 1974. Fransisca loved to cook and take food for potluck 
dinners at Templo Nueva Vida in Ulysses. She enjoyed watching Family 
Feud on TV. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed going to Las 
Vegas. Fransisca treasured the time she spent with her family, kids and
 grandkids. 
Fransisca is survived by her husband, Pedro of their home; ten children,
 Josefina (Josie) Molina and husband Erbey of Johnson, Edwardo (Junior) 
Flores, Jr. and wife M. Elvira of Ulysses, Blanca Rodriguez and husband 
Tony of Ulysses, Dimas Guerrero and wife Yesenia of Gridley, California,

William A. “Bill” Davidson, son of Paul Calvin Davidson and Mildred Irene (Hoffman) Davidson, was born on March 26, 1946 in Concordia, Ks. He passed away March 24, 2023 at Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems in Beloit, KS at the age of 76 years.

On July 14, 1982, he was united in marriage to Rebecca S. Buethe at the Christian Church in Glasco, KS and Paul, Kristi, Chris and Melissa came to bless this home.

Bill was a decorated veteran of the United States Army.&nbsp; He was a lifelong rancher. He worked for Solomon Valley Feeders for most of his adult life, in different managerial positions.&nbsp; He retired from there in 2013.&nbsp; After several years taking care of his own cattle, Bill and Becky retired completely and moved to Scandia, Ks where they enjoyed the simple life and spending time with family. Their greatest adventures were many trips to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons with their special companions, Bud and Abby.

Bill was preceded in death, by his parents Paul and Mildred Davidson; his wife Rebecca Davidson; son Paul Davidson.

He is survived by two daughters, Kristi (Errick) Clark of Beloit, KS; Melissa (Jeremy) Miller of Courtland, KS; son Chris (Angie) Stout of Bentonville, AR; special daughter Ashley Adolf, Topeka, KS; 13 grandchildren, Preston, Tanner, Laura, Brady, Zach, Colton, Sadie, Gage, Addyson, Hayden, Chase, Riley, Ryker, Haley; great-grandson Weston; brother Homer (Barbara) Davidson of Smithville, MO; many other family members and friends.

Billie Ray “Bill” Williams, 84, of Moundridge, Kansas, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2023 at McPherson Hospital. He was born January 1, 1939 in Alton, Kansas, the son of Herald and Adeline (Stephenson) Williams. Bill graduated from Alton High School with the class of 1956. He enlisted in the United States Navy from 1956 until 1978, serving during the Vietnam War. Bill attained the rank of Storekeeper First Class. He served his country for 22 years. After his military retirement in 1978, Bill started working as a civilian contractor until leaving Sasebo, Japan in 1989. He later worked for the Osborne and Concordia School districts where he drove the bus for school and activity runs until 1999. Bill began working as a janitor for the Alton Jr. High School, as well as activity bus runs, officially retiring in 2002. He was a member of the United Christian Church of Osborne. Bill was a lifetime member of the VFW in Osborne and a member of the American Legion in Alton. Bill was married in 1977 to Yoko whom he met in Sasebo. They were married until her death from breast cancer in 1985. He was later united in marriage to his forever partner, Carolyn J. Freeman on January 7, 1991 at the Osborne Christian Church. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his children Kelly Dean Dyche of Moundridge, and Christian Heidi (Rob) Bolton of Alden; six grandchildren, Laura Vitanova, Courtney Johnson, Jessica Dyche, Elizabeth Dyche, Eric Hostetler and Emma Bolton; and six great-grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; eight brothers and one sister; and his previous wife. Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Alton United Methodist Church, 408 Mill St., Alton.

He later worked for the Osborne and Concordia School districts where he drove the bus for school and activity runs until 1999. Bill began working as a janitor for the Alton Jr. High School, as well as activity bus runs, officially retiring in 2002. He was a member of the United Christian Church of Osborne. Bill was a lifetime member of the VFW in Osborne and a member of the American Legion in Alton. Bill was married in 1977 to Yoko whom he met in Sasebo. They were married until her death from breast cancer in 1985. He was later united in marriage to his forever partner, Carolyn J. Freeman on January 7, 1991 at the Osborne Christian Church. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his children Kelly Dean Dyche of Moundridge, and Christian Heidi (Rob) Bolton of Alden; six grandchildren, Laura Vitanova, Courtney Johnson, Jessica Dyche, Elizabeth Dyche, Eric Hostetler and Emma Bolton; and six great-grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; eight brothers and one sister; and his previous wife. Cremation is planned. Judge John Weckel passed away on Thursday,December 
29, 2022, at Salina Presbyterian Manor surrounded by his family. John 
will be remembered as a loving husband to Kathryn (Katie) Weckel, and a 
wonderful father to his daughters: Sarah Hays (Fred) and Stephanie 
Weckel (Betsy Marietta). He adored his two grandchildren: Ryan 
Hays(Stephanie Lee) of New York City and Nicholas Hays (Caycee) of 
Lincoln, Nebraska. He lived to enjoy his great grandsons: Harrison Hays 
and Lukas Hays of Lincoln, Nebraska.

John was born and raised in Salina, Kansas by Ruth and Clyde Weckel 
and was a lifelong Salina resident. As the oldest of eight, he was a 
devoted brother to his six sisters and brother, filling in at school 
events when his parents were unavailable and always remaining a 
steadfast source of advice for his siblings and their families.

He graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University where he was on the 
debate team, sang in the choir and was involved in numerous activities. 
He and Katie were married June 2, 1951 and celebrated 69 years of 
marriage before Katie’s death. He graduated from Washburn University 
School of Law and subsequently joined Rudolph Barta’s law practice in 
Salina on February 1, 1953. He became an Assistant Saline County 
Attorney under Raymond Haggard and subsequently served as Saline County 
Attorney for four years.&nbsp; He was a state district court judge for 20 
years from 1973-1993 and was one of the first senior judges appointed in
 Kansas under a new law designed to provide assistance to courts around 
the state.He worked as a senior judge throughout the state for 12 years,
 and in his second retirement volunteered his services as needed to the 
court in Salina.For more than 40 years, he was ably assisted in his law 
practice and during his judicial career by Joyce Wiese who became part 
of his extended family. In 2013, he was honored for having been a member
 of the Kansas Bar Association for 60 years. In his nearly 40 years as a
 judge, he performed hundreds of marriage ceremonies in the Salina area.

John was an Eagle Scout, served in the National Guard, was active in 
the Shriners and various other organizations including the Downtown 
Lions Club, the YMCA, the Salina Elks Lodge, the Boy Scouts and in the 
1960s served as President of the Salina Council of Churches. He was a 
member of the First Presbyterian Church of Salina. In addition to his 
civic activities and spending time with his family, he enjoyed spending 
time with friends. He and Katie were longtime members of several bridge 
clubs.&nbsp; Beginning in 1953, he and Keno Stephenson and others met for 
early morning coffee every weekday. This group continued meeting even in
 retirement. In talking about the coffee group, he noted that when the 
group first started meeting at Duckwalls a cup of coffee was 5 cents, 
but by the time the group was meeting at the local doughnut shop in the 
2000’s a cup cost $1.80.

In addition to his daughters and their families, he is survived by 
his sisters- Jackie Smith, Patty Robinson, and Faye Bright, 
sister-in-law Caroline Weckeland numerous nieces and nephews. He was 
preceded in death by his wife Katie, brother, Monty Weckel, sisters 
Margaret Pinter, Sally Balentine, and June Grinage, nephew Craig Smith 
and niece Barbara Balentine Knight.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to everyone who 
assisted in John’s care including the wonderful staff at Presbyterian 
Manor, Hospice of Salina, TLC, and Linda Phelps and Tony Pollock both of
 whom were attentive to John for many years.

Memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2023, at First Presbyterian Church, Salina.

Evelyn Louise Ford Livengood, 91, of Salina, stepped into heaven on February 21, 2023. She was born on January 27, 1932 on a farm near Oak Hill, Kansas to Lyman and Bessie Ford. 

Evelyn's early years were spent in central Kansas then the family moved to Kansas City when she was in fifth grade.

When Evelyn was about 12 years old, she met the love of her life, Kenneth Livengood. They started dating when she was 14 and were married on June 14, 1950, right after she graduated from high school. 

Kenneth served for two years in the Army and afterwards they settled in the Kansas City, Kansas area where they raised three children: Dale, Denise, and Deanna.&nbsp;

Evelyn worked for the Kansas City, Kansas Board of Education for several years. After an early retirement, Kenneth and Evelyn traveled to all 50 states, Mexico and both Western and Eastern Canada. 

Kenneth and Evelyn moved to Salina, Kansas in 2013 and they celebrated 70 years of marriage together before Kenneth passed away.

Evelyn passed into heaven on February 21, 2023. Waiting for her was her Lord and Savior, Jesus, her husband Kenneth, and their daughter Deanna, as well as Evelyn's parents and her brothers Merle and Clayton.

She is survived by her son Dale (Barbara) Livengood; daughter Denise (Gary) Stambaugh; her grandchildren Jeff Livengood, Brad (Elisa) Livengood, Rob (Sydney) Anaya, Samantha (Jonathan) Howell, Dionne Stratton, Laromy (Hailey) Stratton, Gina (Roger) Buswell, and Nick (Deniece) Stambaugh; as well as 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Marilyn VanWaters, and her brother Bernard Ford.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on April 22, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at The Light KC Church, 10001 W. 88th Street, Overland Park, Kansas.

On May 24, 1986, he was joined in marriage with Geena Sanneman at First Covenant Church in Salina.Joe actively lived out the Fruits of the Spirit in his journey of Christian faith. He was passionate about serving others and over the last several years, enjoyed spreading God’s love to the El Cuje community in Guatemala. He was a third generation farmer, taking over Kejr Farms from his father, which has since expanded in scale and scope and now includes members of the 4th and 5th generation of the family. Joe served on the board of At Stake Ministries from its inception, served on many church committees, was a member of the Kansas Association of Wheat Growers, National Wheat Foundation, and served in the Kansas State Legislature. In his spare time, he loved being around family, traveling, restoring vehicles, creating experiences for others, hosting agritourism groups from all over the world, supporting sports teams, and taking naps on Sunday afternoon.&nbsp;Survivors include his wife Geena, of almost 37 years; children Robyn Bunch (Matt), of Boston, Mass., Josh Kejr (Brittany), of Salina, and Michelle Kejr, of Manhattan; grandchildren Cynthia and Gianna Kejr; siblings Steve Kejr (Carol), Bernice Omli, Larry Kejr (Susan), and Mel Kejr (Janet); brother-in-law Al Zink; mother-in-law Eloise Sanneman; sister-in-law Greta Frank (Jerry); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.&nbsp;He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Rosalie Zink; brother-in-law John Omli; and father-in-law Warren Sanneman.&nbsp;Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 12, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, with the family present from 4-6.
