I can tell you that the guys have all worked through their interviews with me and I had a chance to sit with them and just finished that up and some of them are still working on their exit physicals. Q:&nbsp;What parts of the offensive scheme are you evaluating most closely?

REID: “Yeah, we’ll go through Jesse (Newell), and we’ll look at everything from plays called to – which starts with me – then all the way through the personnel. Could we have put the guys in better position, could we have made plays. We look at every bit of it – run and pass game – and situationally all the different situations that you have whether it’s goal-line, short yardage, whether it’s third down, red zone, all those things, we try to knock out.”

Q:&nbsp;As you start the offseason review, how do you evaluate the coaching staff, and do you expect any changes to the position coaches?

REID:&nbsp;“Yeah, listen, I haven’t got that far. Literally Jesse (Newell), I just got through – it’s an obvious question though, but I just got through with these players and had a chance to meet with them and then I’ll step back here for a minute and kind of go from there.”

Q:&nbsp;On the surface, what caused struggles this season and what was the biggest lesson learned?

REID:&nbsp;“We had 10 or so games that were determined by seven points or less, you know one score and those were the seven we won last year. Why? You go back and look at penalties in crucial situations, turnovers in crucial situations, those things. You’ve got to really evaluate those and the why’s of that and dropped balls and long drives – including everybody – the end of game drives that you could’ve either scored on or were scored on or special teams put you in a position – you’ve got to look at all those things. So, that’s part of the evaluation process going into the offseason. Make sure we narrow that thing up and make sure we’re on the right end of it.”

Q:&nbsp;Do you feel the run game was impacting the passing game and what you saw from defenses this year?

REID:&nbsp;“Yeah so you always go to your play action game, Sam (McDowell) and you look at it and you check to see what kind of reaction you’re getting from the defense. Normally if you get a reaction, then you’re putting those guys in a recovery mode, which normally opens up the middle of the field in a decent way. So, we’re not getting enough reaction out of them. So however you take that, that could because of the run game, that could be because of the action that we’re showing. There wasn’t enough respect there that needs to be given. So, we’ve got to run the ball more efficiently, especially on first or second down on those run downs in those run situations just to stay positive with that. Somewhere you’d like to have a few bigger plays in that area. Not three (or) four yards, every once in a while, you need to hit on a few. So I would say that there’s a part of it for that, there’s part of it we can look at the action that we’re giving the guys and are we executing right, are we giving them the right things to execute and so on.”

Q:&nbsp;There are reports that Offensive Coordinator Matt Nagy has been requested to be interviewed for head coaching positions. Would you prioritize someone familiar or is there desire to look into something different if you do need to replace him?&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

REID:&nbsp;“I probably wouldn’t get into that right now, Sam (McDowell). Again, these are logical questions. I’ve got some great guys on the staff here – (Pass Game Coordinator) Joe Bleymaier – you name some of the guys. You can go down the list. We’ve got some qualified guys here. I know qualified guys out there too. I’ve got trust in both places. I haven’t got that far and neither has (Offensive Coordinator Matt Nagy) Nags. So, we’ll just see where all this goes and we’ve got a lot of time on that. They can’t even interview him in person until the 19th so I’m not rushing here.”

Q: What was the thought process on calling a timeout on that third down play?&nbsp;

REID:&nbsp;“Probably settled it down for you then put them in a different mode. That’s why I used it there.”

Q: Do you expect a major offseason reboot this offseason?

REID:&nbsp;“I don’t know about all of that Matt (Derrick). I didn’t hear that but I’m trusting you’re saying what they said. We’ll do what’s necessary to make ourselves better, which is what I can tell you. We’ll take every measure that we feel are right, we’ll take. We do that through intense evaluation and that’s how we’ve tried to address everything and we won’t change that as we go into it.”

Q: Have you and Travis Kelce had conversations on him retiring or a timeframe for conversations to take place?

REID:&nbsp;“Yeah, we’ll get to all of that Pete (Sweeney). Right now, knowing we’re finishing the season, but we have a little bit of time before all of that stuff really needs to take place. I’m not trying to avoid your question here but that’s what’s real right now. I know everybody wants the answer right this minute but it’s something that you’ve got to go through. There are a lot of variables there but we all love Trav (Kelce) so we know that. Trav can still play and I’m not questioning that part or any of it. I’m not trying to avoid your question, I just know there’s time. It’s a little bit the same way – last year I got asked kind of the same thing and you have got a little bit of time there to figure everything out. So does Trav, so it buys everybody a little bit of time.”

Q: On Patrick Mahomes’ offseason plan.

REID:&nbsp;“First of all he’s (Patrick Mahomes) doing great for just being three weeks out or so. He’ll go ahead and most likely stay up here the majority of the time rehabbing. He and (Assistant Athletic Trainer) Julie (Frymyer), she’s the person that does all of that – our PT. So, he has a lot of trust in her, and he’s been in there grinding and that’s what I can tell you. I think that will just continue until we get started again – not that he won’t take a break here or there but right now he’s in that early process where you got to really hit it hard and it’s not necessarily a fun thing to do every day. The important thing is that you show up Pete (Sweeney) and that you keep coming back for more and he’s been doing that.”

Q: Are there other coaches on your staff that organizations have reached out to, other than Matt Nagy?&nbsp;

REID:&nbsp;“No, I’m sure those guys will get plenty – I get it, that’s part of this. It’s a tribute to them (but) no I don’t have anything else to tell you.”

Q: Is Phase One in the offseason going to be different?

REID:&nbsp;“I probably need to explain that a little bit for you there Todd (Leabo) – I know you know but for the people listening. So, none of that is mandatory other than the mandatory minicamp and then the rookie minicamp that takes place after the draft. There’s one mandatory minicamp (and) the rest of it is voluntary. We will do Phase One and the players know that and they have the dates and so on they’ve got the calendar. Again, that’s a voluntary thing (and) that’s where we’re at with it.”

Q: Was there anything particular that you wanted to get across to the players during the exit interviews?

REID:&nbsp;“So, Vahe (Gregorian) I should probably tell you that we had a meeting – a team meeting before the interviews. I was able to get my points across to them there (and) tried to be as direct as I possibly could with them knowing that part of the room won’t be coming back but at the same time making sure that they understood expectations going forward. So we were able to talk about that then I could meet with them individually and talk about individual thoughts and also listen to what they have to say if they have any comments.”

Q: Is there anything specific that you wanted the team to take away after the team meeting?

REID:&nbsp;“I think I took away was a little bit of what I mentioned yesterday after the game and I’ve kind of sensed that as we’ve been going through this but those core veteran players and the core group – some of them are younger guys too that they are very focused on figuring out the problems and not excusing themselves from it, taking accountability and making sure we fix it to go forward.”

Q: What are you hoping to target in a veteran quarterback who will lead the offense through the offseason program?

REID:&nbsp;“So we had brought Gardner (Minshew) in to do that, and unfortunately, he got hurt early in that game, but we still have a ton of confidence that he can do that now. He was only here for a year and that was what his contract was. That type of player is what you want in that position and somebody that has won games in the league and at the same time understands his role and handles himself right in the room becomes an important thing.”

Q: Where do you think the pass rush game needs to improve moving forward?

REID:&nbsp;“We had a pretty good thing going before a young guy got banged up in there as far as him (Omarr Norman-Lott) coming on and being able to rush the passer. He gave us a little flexibility in there. We need a couple of the young guys to just continue to grow. I think we’ll have a chance to be pretty good in there. You’re always looking to improve in both lines and you want to make sure those are strong for you.”

Q: What was your message to the young guys in the exit interviews?

REID:&nbsp;“This class is the only class that really hasn’t had success, so they haven’t experienced that part of it. It’s important when they left here, that they understood Matt (McMullen), that what really needs to be taken care of and try to make that as crystal clear as you can to them and at the same time, to the coaches and the people that were in the room there and not that I haven’t talked to them about it before that I reinforce it that these are the expectations. This is the ceiling that we want to keep ourselves at and anything less isn’t acceptable. That’s what they can bring to the table as we go forward.”

Q: Do you consider the offseason the best time to modify the offense or is it more difficult in season?

REID:&nbsp;“No. I would tell you if you’re doing a wholesale change, I’d probably tell you that the offseason is better than during the season but if you’re just trying to better yourself you should be doing that throughout.”

Q: On the team trying to get better.

REID:&nbsp;“Yeah, I think so. I think putting people in the right position and making sure we stay relatively healthy there I think is important. Then don’t take things away from yourself whether it’s a play call that you give a guy – can you put him in a better position or second, are you taking something away from yourself, whether it’s a turnover or a penalty. It’s all of us looking at that but you’re still looking at an offense that was one of the top 10 offenses in the league if you take everything into consideration there. You’re not that far off, you have to get a couple things bouncing your way and make sure you take care of that.”

Q:&nbsp;What are some of the things that you think didn’t go right for you this year?

BOLTON:&nbsp;“This year we just had some missed opportunities. Whether it be offense, defense or special teams as a whole (or) as a team, I just feel like we left some things out there that we could’ve executed on especially at the end of game situations. One of the big things, we were really good at end of game situations in all of my years prior and this year we just couldn’t get it done in those situations. Self-reflection on what we could do better internally, especially myself on getting guys lined up, executing and finding ways to win games but that was a big part of this year.”

Q:&nbsp;On having extra time this offseason.

BOLTON:&nbsp;“Absolutely, we get an extended offseason. We haven’t had one since I’ve been here. We get a couple months to rest, get away from it a little bit and spend some time working on some things that have been bugging you. We have some knicks and bruises, been playing football for quite a while now. That’s good to get ahead of some things. I know some guys that were banged up at the end of the year and needed that extra time to get their bodies right. You can do those things, also just spend time with family. Some things we haven’t had the time to do, especially me. I got my mom – my mom and my granny’s birthday (are) at the end of this month so I get to spend their birthday’s with them, so it’s just small stuff like that get your mind right, figure out why you play this game and why you love this game and get to spend some time with some loved ones.”

Three day weather forecast Salina, January 5 - January 7

Sondra Jo (Brownell) Bergstrom, 63, of Clyde, Kansas, entered into rest on December 31, 2025, at the Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, Kansas. She was born on April 26, 1962, in Concordia, Kansas to Harry and Janice (Miller) Brownell. Sondra attended Concordia Grade School, Concordia Middle School, and Concordia High School, graduating in 1980. She received an associate’s degree from Cloud County Community College and taught as a special education teacher in the Clifton-Clyde School District, as well as served Clifton-Clyde High School as secretary. She then worked for NCK Radiology in Concordia for almost 30 years.

Sondra poured her love and her life into her family, friends, animals, and community. She never knew a stranger with folks from all walks of life finding a safe space in her presence, a listening ear, a warm hug, and the best laugh. Her creativity knew no limits and her passion was crafting, whether it be resin art, Halloween costumes, yard décor, or cake and cookie decorating. And as a lover of all creatures great and small her life would not have been complete without her dog, cat, opossum, and other animal companions.

Survivors include her husband, Jonathan Bergstrom, Clyde, KS; daughter, Lindsay Bergstrom, Nashville, TN; mother, Janice Brownell of Concordia; brother, Larry Brownell (Kim), Concordia, KS; granddaughter, Emma Bergstrom, Aurora, CO. and family: Dom, Maggie, Addison, and Kai; mother-in-law Sarah Elizabeth Bergstrom of Clyde, brother and sister in-laws, Rod Bergstrom of Loveland, CO; Pam Saulnier (Don) of Spring Hill, KS; Melinda Bergstrom of Topeka; nieces and nephews, Shelby (Kyle), Lacey (Derek), Braden, Hannah, Christina, Sarah, Ryan, Stephanie, Cassidy, and Mackenzie, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded by her father, Harry Brownell, and son, Keenan Bergstrom.

She was born on April 26, 1962, in Concordia, Kansas to Harry and Janice (Miller) Brownell. Sondra attended Concordia Grade School, Concordia Middle School, and Concordia High School, graduating in 1980. She received an associate’s degree from Cloud County Community College and taught as a special education teacher in the Clifton-Clyde School District, as well as served Clifton-Clyde High School as secretary. She then worked for NCK Radiology in Concordia for almost 30 years.Sondra poured her love and her life into her family, friends, animals, and community. She never knew a stranger with folks from all walks of life finding a safe space in her presence, a listening ear, a warm hug, and the best laugh. Her creativity knew no limits and her passion was crafting, whether it be resin art, Halloween costumes, yard décor, or cake and cookie decorating. Marjorie “Marg” Joyce Edgell, 83, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Lindsborg Community Hospital.

Marg was born on October 13, 1942, in Appleton, Wisconsin, the daughter of Jacob V. and Betty (Mastre) Koehn. She held the special distinction of being the first-born granddaughter on both sides of her family.&nbsp; After her dad completed his CPS Service at the end of WWII, the family of four moved back to their hometown of Galva, KS where they were surrounded by a large and close-knit extended family of aunts, uncles, and grandparents who would deeply shape Marg’s life.

Marg was fortunate to spend meaningful time with her maternal grandfather, Albert “Grandpa” Mastre—a relationship she cherished. She loved to tell the story of sitting in the front seat of his car, listening to baseball games on the radio while sharing sardines straight from the can. Those moments, full of curiosity and connection, helped spark what many believe became her lifelong entrepreneurial spirit and love of adventure.

Just across the backyard lived her paternal grandparents, Ben and Katie Koehn. It was there that Marg developed her love for baking, often “helping” Grandma Katie roll out cinnamon rolls—an experience that would later come full circle in her own baking ventures. Marg’s strong work ethic took root early, as she grew up surrounded by family businesses in Galva. Grandpa Koehn operated The Ice House, where ice was sold and eggs were candled, while the adjoining Mastre business included a lunch counter, groceries, gas, and oil. These businesses later evolved into Galva Cash Service, run by her parents, Jake and Betty Koehn—another place where Marg absorbed the value of hard work, attention to detail, and service to others.

She attended Galva public schools. She later admitted that, on her way to school, she would secretly swap her thick brown stockings for white bobby socks, leaving the stockings under a bridge so she could take part in activities like track and cheerleading.

During her high school years, her family owned a dairy farm in Wisconsin which was operated by friends of the family. After a farming accident, Marg (at age 14) was sent to help with the cooking, cleaning, and laundry for the farm hands and family. She would joke about the “education” she received up there living with the dairy farm family and a few male teenagers.

On October 13, 1959—her 17th birthday—Marg married Galen Dwayne Jantz. Their life together was blessed with three daughters: Tawny, Ebanee (Ebby) and Misty. The young family moved to Denver, Colorado, where they lived for a brief time, welcomed Ebby into their lives, and then returned to Kansas.

Throughout her life, Marg embraced countless roles with resilience and heart. Her homemaking skills were second nature—she cooked, baked, cleaned, and even pitched in with Galen’s family custom harvesting business, proving there was little she couldn’t do. Later, following her heart, she packed up her two girls and returned to Colorado, carving out a new chapter. She landed a job at the Holiday Inn in Golden, then the westernmost hotel in the Denver—a place buzzing with excitement whenever bands came to play at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Marg’s position came with a unique perk: free tickets to numerous concerts. She never went alone; her girls were always by her side, sharing unforgettable nights under the Colorado sky, music weaving memories they would cherish forever.

Marg had a deep love for the Rocky Mountains, quaint mountain towns, and the beauty of nature—what she fondly called “God’s country.” She was an avid skier and took every opportunity to enjoy the mountains she loved so dearly. For many years she lived in Summit County, CO and loved to have friends and family visit from Kansas and show them all the sites.

In the early '90’s Marg returned to Kansas and transformed her daughters’ childhood home into The Cranberry House Bed &amp; Breakfast—McPherson’s very first B&amp;B. It was a dream that allowed her to pour her heart into hospitality, constantly perfecting her baking and creating a warm, welcoming space for every guest who walked through the door. She spent many hours in her flower garden making it the envy of the neighborhood.

Marg’s love for the mountains called her back to Colorado once again, where she took on the role of managing The Lodge at the historic El Rancho in Evergreen. Her passion for hospitality didn’t stop there—she also oversaw The Ashley House Bed &amp; Breakfast in Evergreen, creating warm and inviting spaces for her many guests.

Her next adventure led her to downtown Golden, Colorado, where she purchased an old coffee shop in the historic Armory Building and transformed it into The Thirteenth Street Bake Shop. There, she showcased Grandma Katie’s cinnamon rolls and created something even more special: a warm, homey atmosphere that made every guest feel as though they had stepped into Marg’s own kitchen. By her side through it all was her beloved Chow-Chow, Sydney (affectionately known as the big brown bear) who faithfully greeted every customer and became part of the shop’s charm.

An entrepreneur at heart, Marg was a baker, gardener, dog lover, and a detail-oriented, hardworking woman. She carried what her family fondly called the “Koehn trait”—being very particular—and often reminded others that&nbsp;“the difference is in the details.”&nbsp;After retiring in Colorado, Marg returned to McPherson to be closer to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spent many years working at Stutzman’s Greenhouse.

Marg fiercely loved her family. She had an unconditional, generous heart and a true servant’s spirit, always welcoming others with open arms. She cherished babies, adored her dogs, loved a really great cup of coffee, and found joy in caring for others. Though not religious, Marg was deeply spiritual and felt closest to God in the mountains and in nature. She had an artistic eye with a flair for decorating and design and enjoyed painting, drawing, and writing. Known for her positive outlook, Marg chose to see the good in life—often through rose-colored glasses.

She had a natural ability to connect with anyone she met. Marg’s warmth, kindness, creativity, and unwavering love will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Marg enjoyed excellent health for most of her life. In 2015, she faced a difficult challenge when she was diagnosed with colon cancer—a battle she fought and overcame through surgery and chemotherapy. Later, she developed chronic COPD, a condition she bravely battled with unwavering strength until the very end.

Survivors include two daughters, Tawny (Yale) Hoffman of McPherson, KS and Misty Jantz (Mark Gatz) of McPherson, KS; a sister, Elizabeth “Beth” (Cecil) Worden of Galva, KS; granddaughters, Liz (Shane) Unruh, Maddy (Logan) Schrag, and Abby Jantz; great-grandchildren, Chace Wescott, Cora Unruh, Collyer Unruh, Creede Unruh, Calum Unruh, and Reese Schrag; brother-in-law, Norman Schmidt of Moundrige, KS; and many extended relatives and friends.&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob &amp; Betty Koehn; sister, Karlene Schmidt; and infant daughter, Ebanee Lynn Jantz.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 5, 2026, at Lone Tree Cemetery, (758 23rd&nbsp;Ave., Galva) followed by a celebration of life &amp; luncheon at noon at The Yard (108 W. 2nd&nbsp;St., Galva).

WASHINGTON (AP) — The CIA was behind&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/trump-venezuela-facility-boat-strikes-0faff66145c6706e2861fcde36756fe4">a drone strike last week</a>&nbsp;at a docking area believed to have been used by Venezuelan drug cartels, according to two people familiar with details of the operation who requested anonymity to discuss the classified matter.

The first known direct operation on Venezuelan soil since the U.S. began strikes in September marks a significant escalation in the administration’s&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/trump-maduro-venezuela-drug-cartels-military-timeline-91e242e5c56eec39b6b7d72bf55dbd2d">months-long pressure campaign</a>&nbsp;on Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro’s government. The strike has not been acknowledged by Venezuelan officials.

<a href="https://apnews.com/hub/donald-trump">President Donald Trump</a>&nbsp;first made reference to the operation in an interview Friday with John Catsimatidis on WABC radio in New York, saying the U.S. had knocked out some type of “big facility where ships come from.”

In an exchange with reporters Monday as he hosted Israeli&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/hub/benjamin-netanyahu">Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu</a>&nbsp;at his Mar-a-Lago resort, Trump added that the operation targeted a “&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/trump-venezuela-facility-boat-strikes-0faff66145c6706e2861fcde36756fe4">dock area where they load the boats</a>&nbsp;up with drugs.” But the president declined to comment when asked whether the attack was conducted by the military or the CIA.

The CIA and White House officials also declined to offer further comment on the matter. Col. Allie Weiskopf, a spokesperson for Special Operations Command, which oversees U.S operations in the Caribbean, said in a statement that “Special Operations did not support this operation to include intel support.”

The strike escalates what began as a massive buildup of U.S. personnel in the Caribbean Sea starting in August, which has been followed by at least 30 U.S.&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/boat-strikes-drug-trafficking-trump-venezuela-4c21181026cf564fc79ae96d0b931f8d">military strikes on alleged drug boats</a>&nbsp;in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific. More recently, Trump has ordered a quasi-blockade aimed at seizing sanctioned oil tankers coming in and out of Venezuela.

CNN first reported on the CIA’s involvement in the operation.

Trump for months had threatened that he could soon order strikes on targets on Venezuelan land. He’s also taken the unusual step of publicly acknowledging that he had authorized the CIA to carry out covert action inside Venezuela.

The administration is required to report covert CIA actions to senior congressional officials, including the chair and ranking members of both the Senate and House intelligence committees. But Trump, by entrusting what appears to be the first land strike of the Venezuelan campaign to the intelligence agency, could be calculating that the action would face less scrutiny from lawmakers than a military strike.

“I authorized for two reasons, really. No. 1, they have emptied their prisons into the United States of America,” he said in October as he confirmed to reporters his approval for the CIA to act. “And the other thing, the drugs, we have a lot of drugs coming in from Venezuela, and a lot of the&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/venezuela-maduro-strike-caribbean-drug-trafficking-trump-1061debe2f983ef7bc9666d3f002b3a0">Venezuelan drugs</a>&nbsp;come in through the sea.”

All the while, Trump has repeatedly said Maduro’s days in power are numbered. The Venezuelan leader and members of his inner circle have been under federal&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/caribbean-indictments-armed-forces-united-states-miami-d82797206561db03851e47df125c243f">indictment in the United States</a>&nbsp;since 2020 for narcoterrorism and other charges.

<a href="https://apnews.com/article/donald-trump-us-news-ap-top-news-venezuela-virus-outbreak-2ceb488313ebb3334f64f6ad705e33b8">Maduro has denied the charges</a>. The U.S. Justice Department this year doubled to $50 million the reward for information that leads to his arrest.

The Venezuelan president made no mention of the CIA operation during an hourlong speech Tuesday at an international leadership school for women.

(AP) — President Donald Trump has indicated that the U.S. has “hit” a dock facility along a shore as he wages a&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/trump-venezuela-tankers-shipbuilding-3c711c500a627243329807df42fa6ef8">pressure campaign on Venezuela</a>, but the U.S. offered few details.

Trump initially seemed to confirm a strike in what appeared to be an impromptu radio interview Friday, and when questioned Monday by reporters about “an explosion in Venezuela,” he said the U.S. struck a facility where boats accused of carrying drugs “load up.”

“There was a major explosion in the dock area where they load the boats up with drugs,” Trump said as he&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/trump-netanyahu-gaza-ceasefire-arab-nations-229253766673f18c1195550572edd2ce">met in Florida with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu</a>. “They load the boats up with drugs, so we hit all the boats and now we hit the area. It’s the implementation area. There’s where they implement. And that is no longer around.”

It is part of an escalating effort to target what the Trump administration says are&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/trump-maduro-venezuela-drug-cartels-military-timeline-91e242e5c56eec39b6b7d72bf55dbd2d">boats smuggling drugs</a>&nbsp;bound for the United States. It moves closer to shore strikes that so far have been carried out by the military in international waters in the Caribbean Sea and eastern Pacific Ocean.

Trump declined to say if the U.S. military or the CIA carried out the latest strike or where it occurred. He did not confirm it happened in Venezuela.

“I know exactly who it was, but I don’t want to say who it was. But you know it was along the shore,” Trump said.

Trump first referenced the strike on Friday, when he called radio host John Catsimatidis during a program on WABC radio and discussed the U.S. strikes on alleged drug-carrying boats. The attacks have killed at least 105 people in&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/trump-maduro-venezuela-drug-cartels-military-timeline-91e242e5c56eec39b6b7d72bf55dbd2d">29 known strikes</a>&nbsp;since early September.

“I don’t know if you read or saw, they have a big plant or a big facility where they send the, you know, where the ships come from,” Trump said. “Two nights ago, we knocked that out. So, we hit them very hard.”

Trump did not offer any additional details in the interview.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth or one of the U.S. military’s social media accounts has in the past typically announced every boat strike in a post on X, but there has been no post of any strike on a facility.

The Pentagon on Monday referred questions to the White House, which did not immediately respond to a message seeking more details. The press office of Venezuela’s government did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Trump’s statement.

As Sunday's heavy snow activity has ended in Salina, light snow is expected to continue throughout central Kansas

Areas of snow will remain through the late afternoon for locations generally along and just southeast of the Kansas Turnpike with little if any accumulation anticipated.

  Some locations may see visibility reduced to less than 3 miles at times.  There maybe a few slick spots on bridges and overpasses.

Salina is under a wind advisory until 6:00 pm Sunday.

The Emergency&nbsp;Accident Reporting Plan the Salina Police Department issued earlier on Sunday has been cancelled as well.

Monday's weather in Salina is expected to have a morning wind chill in the single digits to around zero. Afternoon highs are forecasted to be in the low 30s.

Be aware, take precaution on the roads and prepare, as a fast band of snow has worked its way quickly through Salina and central Kansas.&nbsp;

According to the US National Weather Service, snow will combine with strong winds to reduced visibility to less than a mile at times. Those traveling along I-70 should expect rapid reductions in visibility as they head west.

Those traveling between Wichita and Salina need to be prepared for rapidly deteriorating conditions along I-135 and surrounding roadways. Slick spots on elevated surfaces and visibility under 1/2 mile are anticipated.

The National Weather Service expects the snow to continue until 3:00 pm on Sunday.&nbsp;

Moreover, a cold front will move across the area bringing strong northwest winds. Wind gusts in the 45 to 55 mph range will be common across the region.

Be sure to secure any loose outdoor items.

Salina has been issued to be under a wind advisory until 6:00 pm on Sunday.

The Salina Police Department has announced that the Emergency Accident Reporting Plan has been implemented due to severe weather and/or hazardous driving conditions, as the number of motor vehicle accidents exceeds the Department’s ability to respond in a timely manner.

Any non-hit and run, non-personal injury motor vehicle accident that does not require towing, and does not involve alcohol or drugs.

 Exchange personal information with the other driver(s) involved or property owner. 

Complete an Emergency Accident Reporting Plan accident report form as completely as possible and mail or deliver the completed report to the Salina Police Department within 48 hours.

OPENING STATEMENT:&nbsp;“Alright, a couple of injury things here. Trent McDuffie won’t practice today, Nikko (Remigio) has a – his knee is swollen, so he won’t practice today, Rashee (Rice) won’t practice, still in the protocol. Tyquan (Thornton) is still in the protocol, and the Jaylen Watson has a muscle injury in his groin area. With that, we look forward to the challenge of playing Denver, a good football team, well coached (and) good players.”

Q: What did you see from the team’s performance and effort against the Titans?

REID:&nbsp;“This group here, I thought our guys played hard against them. It’s a good rival.”

Q: How much do you use the playbook when working with backup quarterbacks?

REID:&nbsp;“You back it up a bit, formation wise. You got a lot of guys who are new to it and learning. We’re still able to do enough for sure.”

Q: What will Patrick Mahomes’ role be if anything against the Broncos? Will he sit in a booth?

REID:&nbsp;“If he (Patrick Mahomes) can, it’s still fairly short after the surgery. He definitely won’t be on the sideline, although he’d like to be, but he can’t do that right now.”

Q: Has Patrick Mahomes been in any team meetings?

REID:&nbsp;“He’s (Patrick Mahomes) not in the meetings. He’s been getting treatment and kind of getting settled. That’s not an easy recovery, but he’s pounding through it and doing a nice job at that part.”

Q: If this is Travis Kelce’s last game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium what does that mean to you?

REID:&nbsp;“I don’t know if it is or not. I haven’t talked to him (Travis Kelce). I think his numbers and personality and the person I think speak for themselves. Phenomenal person (and) great for the community – has been great for the community. He’s everything you want from a player representing an organization.”

Q: How much have you thought about the Chiefs Stadium news?

REID:&nbsp;“I followed it. I think it’s phenomenal news. I went through this in Philadelphia where we had one of these deals. It doesn’t matter if it’s here or Kansas, we’re not moving to Florida or somewhere else, we’re right here. We’ve always had Kansas people come here to the Missouri side, and it will be likewise the other way. That’s the beautiful thing about it. Plus, it will be a beautiful facility and something the fans will be very proud of. It will be definitely loud, and those will be exciting times there.”

Q: What did you learn about Chris Oladokun based on his performance against Tennessee?

REID:&nbsp;“He (Chris Oladokun) looks forward to every week. He prepares himself every week to go. So, that’s been an easy transition for us with the verbiage and such. So, he jumps in and gets it. He sits behind the offensive drill there, they mock it – the two quarterbacks. The quarterbacks mock as if they’re there, and they make the calls to (Quarterbacks Coach) David (Girardi) and then go about it. They stay fresh on that, and he’s in a pretty good position that way.”

Q: Do you see any similarities between Chris Oladokun and Patrick Mahomes?

REID:&nbsp;“Yeah, he spends times at it (Chris Oladokun). When he’s a backup, he does the same thing. He doesn’t have to change a whole lot for this part because he prepares himself that way anyways. Pat’s (Mahomes) a great example of how to go about it, and he’s (Chris Oladokun) watched him (Patrick Mahomes) close and he’s followed right in suit there.”

Q: Will we see Dameon Pierce play this week?

REID:&nbsp;“Probably not this week – probably not this week. We’ll see about the following week.”

Q: How would you evaluate Offensive Coordinator Matt Nagy this year?

REID:&nbsp;“Phenomenal. We were on a record pace there for a bit as far as statically. He (Offensive Coordinator Matt Nagy) does a nice job there.”

Q: What do you see for&nbsp;<a>Offensive Coordinator Matt Nagy</a>’s future?

REID:&nbsp;“I think he (Offensive Coordinator Matt Nagy) deserves to be a head football coach in this league. That’s exciting for him.”

SPAGNUOLO:&nbsp;“Oh yeah, that’s pretty – that’s a no brainer, right? Big 6’4” target, but yeah, I think Kristian’s (Fulton) played against him (Courtland Sutton) before in other years, and Nohl (Williams) will be out there, and we’ll try to get some other guys – Josh Williams might have to step up and play a little bit for us but yeah, big target. We’ll have to find a way to limit his catches although I know whether he’s covered or not, I think the quarterback has a lot of confidence in throwing to him so I’m sure the ball’s going to go that way at some point.”

Q: Are you eyeing next year for more defensive snaps for Jeffrey Bassa?

SPAGNUOLO:&nbsp;“No, we’ve got everybody ready to go in this particular game. We’ll see how the game goes and which way we go with the substitution but just like Jack (Cochrane) got some snaps last week and Cooper McDonald did. I think, Jeff (Bassa), we’ll try to work him in there as well.”

Q: What do you attribute to Bryan Cook’s big jump from year three to year four?

SPAGNUOLO:&nbsp;“I’m glad you brought Bryan (Cook) up. He’s been solid all year long, and listen, he runs the show back there. Him and (Nick) Bolton are a part of a lot of communication and getting guys on the right page. I think he’s done a really outstanding job tackling. I mean, he’s a safety – you’ve got to see it. He’ll come up and hit; he’s a big guy. I’m really pleased with the solid year that he’s had.”

Q:&nbsp;What separates Chris Oladokun from other third string quarterbacks?

NAGY:&nbsp;“I like where he’s (Chris Oladokun) at mentally understanding this playbook. He’s into his third year – third full year with us. He understands the language. It is different being able to understand it, it’s harder when you have to go to the line of scrimmage with guys chasing you (and) you have calls you have to make. It’s one thing when you’re watching tape with a remote and you’re looking at the television and you can make your ID calls, and your protection calls and stuff like that. When you get out there, and you’re not looking birds eye view, its loud (and) there’s a lot of stuff that goes into that. I felt that part he’s done really well in practice, and I thought the game last week there were a few things here or there but we’ll have a tall task on Christmas night. But I know the guys have really put in some good time and I think he’s ready for it.”

Q:&nbsp;On Travis Kelce’s level of play.

NAGY:&nbsp;“He’s (Travis Kelce) doing great. There’s going to be some routes that he ran really really well as a third (or) fourth year into the league. But what he uses now is he’s savvy with his mental. These guys see what he does and he’s able to set guys up. He’s having a great year right now and I think that’s what’s so special in his leadership skills. The way he leads these guys is second to none. It’s been a tough year, it hurts to be where we’re at right now. We understand the frustration, it’s difficult (and) it’s not fun. When you go through these times, I think in the end one of the things I’ll think back on Trav and these other vets is how they’re handling this moment right now, which is not fun or easy. They’re handling it like true pros and I’ll always remember that.”

Q:&nbsp;On Jalen Royals getting more reps.

NAGY:&nbsp;“I don’t think it hurts at all. I think it would be good for him (Jalen Royals) to get some reps and get out there and see what he can do. He had a great preseason for us and like I said before a little bit of a redshirt year for him but he has a lot of talent. You saw it on tape in school and then he put it in preseason and unfortunately had a little bit of that injury he had to fix at that front end, but I think now is a good time to be able to try and get him some reps. We’re trying to do that and it’s never easy but for sure it's something we want to do.”

It was a quick turnaround getting flights and stuff for them up here. Obviously, they didn’t think I’d be starting in the Christmas game so it’s pretty cool that they’ll be up here.”Q:&nbsp;Was your family in Tennessee?OLADOKUN:&nbsp;“They weren’t in Tennessee, but it’s crazy, one of my best friends back home, Jake Hampton, he hit me up at 8 p.m. the night before the game and was like; ‘hey man, I live in Asheville, North Carolina, it’s like a four hour drive (and) I’ll drive up and at least see you in uniform.’ I was like, alright cool and as he’s walking into the stadium, he said he looked up at the jumbotron and said: ‘Is that Chris (Oladokun) in?’ And yeah, there I was so it was pretty cool. It was pretty cool to have him there and at least I had some support there in Tennessee.”Q:&nbsp;How do you look at this as an opportunity?OLADOKUN:&nbsp;“It’s a huge opportunity and it’s something I don’t take lightly. These opportunities don’t come around often and so when you get them, take that and run with it. This is not only a big game for our team, but me personally a big game in terms of letting the league know what I can do and letting these coaches know what I do and moving forward, having that confidence in me if something were to happen that they feel confident that I can go out there and execute the game plan.”Q:&nbsp;When watching tape, what do you think you did well?OLADOKUN:&nbsp;“Especially early towards the game, getting us into field goal position and leading some scoring drives was great. Getting the ball out of my hand and sort of getting the ball to our playmakers, did well. (I) was able to extend a couple plays too for some big gains which is a big part of my game and something I always want to utilize. In terms of (improving) – I think just the little operation stuff, just making sure we get in and out of the huddle and don’t want to have any penalties whether it’s my cadence and me and the o-line getting on the same page, I think that’s something we can always clean up. But for a first outing, I felt really good (and) I felt really proud of myself and not only in myself but the guys were awesome with me, Trav (Kelce), Creed (Humphrey), Trey (Smith) (and) the whole o-line made (sure) every single drive we’re out there: ‘hey, we got your back man.’ When you have that confidence from those guys, it felt great.”Q:&nbsp;The offensive line told you that?OLADOKUN:&nbsp;“Yeah, every single drive. Trey (Smith) will look at me and be like: ‘I got your back, man.’ That just speaks to his (Trey Smith) character, our whole offense, our whole team that they just rally behind me like that.”Q:&nbsp;On getting cut after training camp last season and not getting signed for a few months.OLADOKUN:&nbsp;“That was a different experience for me. I was in a different city every single week, working out. I believe I worked out with seven or eight teams, so I was just constantly in hotels and getting flights and stuff like that. You’re sitting at home with your buddies on Sundays watching games and you’re like: ‘Man, I really used to be out there on those Sundays.’ So, it definitely makes you appreciate any opportunity you have to be in this league, no matter if it’s active roster (or) practice squad. It is hard to play in the NFL and it’s hard to stick on rosters. But also internally, it really motivated me. Made me look at myself in the mirror and see what I need to get better at physically and mentally and I think I had a really good plan with my QB coach back home, C.J. Bennett. There’s a little more electricity just because I’m the guy actually going through it. But in terms of preparation, my preparation hasn’t changed. It’s been the same for the last four years. I’ve taken my routine from guys like Chad Henne when I first got here my rookie year. Obviously, Pat (Mahomes), I sit next to him every single day and watch how he goes about his work. I sort of just stay in my routine, that’s where I feel comfortable and just know when they call that first group out there at practice, I’m not the one sitting there I’m actually running out there.”Q: What’s it like having Shane Buechele back?
