SALINA - Barbara E. Long, 65, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021. Barb was born in Washington, KS to Melvin “Bud” and Marie (Meyer) Long.
Barb worked at Schwan’s Foods for many years and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Everyone who knows Barb, knows her love for the New York Yankees. Growing up she never missed a chance to watch the Yankees on TV with her father and she loved to talk about her trip to New York City to visit Yankee Stadium. Barb also enjoyed music and reading but many times just being with her special friends was enough to bring a smile to her face.
Barb was preceded in death by her sister, Janeen Long.
She is survived by her sister, Shelly Martin; brother, Richard Martin; niece, Adie Fields and husband Brad; and great nieces and nephew, Blake, Morgan and Kamdyn.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, February 12th at Ryan Mortuary. Burial will be private in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
