April 10, 1943 - June 14, 2021

Stanley J. Nikkel, 78, of Inman, KS, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 14, 2021, surrounded by family at Pleasant View Home, Inman.  He was a farmer and truck driver.

Stan was born on April 10, 1943, in Goessel, KS, the son of Benjamin L. and Justina (Friesen) Nikkel.  On October 18, 1968, he was united in marriage to Judith Ann Barkman at Greenland Church in Manitoba, Canada.

He was a member of Smoky Hills Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Windom, KS. 

Survivors include: his two sons, Chad Nikkel of Scottsdale, Arizona and Greg (Julie) Nikkel of Leesburg, Ohio; four grandchildren, Zachary, Shaina, Kaylee, and Mariah; one sister, Betty (Dale) Ensz of Inman, Kansas; one brother, Lee (Carol) Nikkel of Madrid, Nebraska; brothers-in-law, Dennis (Carol) Barkman of Swan River, Manitoba, David (Karen) Barkman of Kelowna, British Columbia, Galen (Charlene) Barkman of Morven, North Carolina; sisters-in-law, Wilma Barkman of Swan River, Manitoba, Lois (Marvin) Warkentin of Grandview, Manitoba, Kathy (Howard) Penner of Norquay, Saskatchewan, Darlene (Gordan) Harris of St. Andrews, Manitoba, Glenna (Les) Giesbrecht of Elma, Manitoba, and Ruth (James) Bartel of Benito, Manitoba.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one sister, Lillian, and three brothers-in-law, James Hiebert, Weston Barkman, and Gerald Barkman.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Zion Church of God in Christ, Mennonite (Inman, KS).  Burial will follow at Zion Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, June 16, at the church with family receiving friends from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
