HILLSBORO, Kan. - An 88th minute goal by Brennen Lamont pushed the Kansas Wesleyan Men's Soccer team past the Tabor College Bluejays 2-1 on Wednesday night at Joel H. Wiens Stadium.

The match remained scoreless until the 66th minute despite plenty of chances for both teams.

Tabor nearly had a goal in the first half but the Coyotes were able to save the shot.

In the 66th minute, the Coyotes were awarded a penalty after Quatama Massaquoi was fouled in the penalty area. Noel Zimbeva stepped to the spot and scored it to give the Coyotes the lead.

Tabor got the equalizer in the 80th minute as Molelwa Adendelwa scored, receiving a pass over the middle of the field and outrunning a pair of KWU defenders and curved the shot just inside the far post.

The Coyotes got the go-ahead goal in the 88th minute as Brennan Lamont found enough space just outside the right post to receive a pass from the left from Seth Flores and was able to tap it home for the goal.

Wesleyan outshot Tabor 17-9 in the match. Gonzalo Gaubeka led the way with six shots. Shae Wirt had six saves in goal for the Coyotes.
