Box truck tampered with in Salina is this week’s Crimestoppers

On Friday, August 30, 2024, at about 12:09 PM, a subject reported they parked their 2016 Isuzu Box Truck at 601 S. Broadway, Salina, Kansas. The truck was parked along the east side of the building next to several bay doors. The subject later received a GPS alert the truck was turned on at 2:50 PM on August 30, 2024.

When the subject returned to the trucks location on August 31, 2024, the truck had been moved across the parking lot. The steering column had been disassembled and wires cut.

The truck was valued at $15,000. It was later determined the suspect had gone through another vehicle on the property but no items were taken from the second vehicle.

Surveillance video from the business showed a Black male wearing a green t-shirt, dark shorts, carrying a hammer. The male appears to be shorter in stature, with a slim build.

The male checks doors located at the business.
