A Salina man was arrested after reportedly choking a woman at a home.
According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on August 23 just after 9:00 pm, officers responded to a physical domestic incident in the 900 block of Garden.
Contact was made with a 43-year-old female who reported that she and a man identified as Homero Vega (54) of Salina, a known associate who lives at the residence, had gotten into an argument. During the argument, it was reported that Vega grabbed the female and began choking her.
The female managed to strike Vega, prompting him to release her.
When officers arrived at the scene, they took Vega into custody without incident and transported him to the Saline County Jail in reference to Aggravated Domestic Battery and Domestic Battery.
The female refused medical treatment, according to SPD.
