Salina Police and two residents come in conflict with a highly aggressive man, before an arrest was made.

According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on April 28 at around 9:15 am, officers responded to the 300 block of S. Broadway for a disturbance.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with Troy Duncan (40) of Salina. Duncan was identified as the suspect in the disturbance.

As officers attempted to speak with Duncan, he became highly agitated and was yelling the officers, according to SPD.

Reportedly, he refused to comply with officers and threw a bag at an officer.

Afterwards, Duncan was taken into custody and placed into a wrap.

SPD stated Duncan was yelling at a 57-year-old male in the area when he jumped and attacked the male, before he was taken into custody. A 55-year-old male then stepped in between the two, to stop Duncan from assaulting the other male, according to SPD.

However, the 55-year-old male that stepped in was struck by Duncan. He suffered a minor injury to his face and hand.

Duncan was taken to the hospital, before heading to the Saline County Jail. While at the hospital Duncan attempted to strike a nurse.

Once cleared, Duncan was transported to the Saline County Jail and booked on 2 requested charges of Battery, Assault, Assault of a Law Enforcement Officer, Battery of a Law Enforcement Officer and Interference with Law Enforcement.
