Police are looking for suspects in two vehicle theft cases on Monday.

Jalen Kruep, 21, of Salina, reported that his gold 2004 Chevrolet Silverado extended cab pickup had been stolen sometime between 12:30-7:30 a.m. Monday from in front of his apartment at 2363 Chapel Ridge, according to Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester. He told police that the keys were left in the vehicle and the vehicle was unlocked. The pickup was valued at $6,000. Kruep told police that the truck wouldn't get far, as its fuel light was on.

Forrester reported that once officers cleared that call, they were sent to the 2300 block of Montclaire Drive for the report of another stolen vehicle. Kruep’s truck was located one block over on Mayfair Drive and had run out of gas.

Officers met with the victim on Montclaire Drive, Katherine Robison, 51, of Salina. She reported that her maroon 2003 Lincoln Navigator was stolen from the street in front of her house between 10:30 p.m. on Sunday and 7 a.m. on Monday. The vehicle had been moved by her son and the keys left in the ignition, Forrester noted. The vehicle is valued at $3,000.

According to Forrester, officers were then sent to another residence in the 2300 block of Montclair Drive for a trespassing case. The victim reported his vehicle had been gone through, but nothing was taken. The man had video that shows three subjects in hoodies, pants, and face coverings going through his vehicle at 3:08 a.m. Two of the three subjects are seen walking down the street, entering the Lincoln Navigator at 3:11 a.m., and leaving northbound on Montclair, Forrester noted.

Police are working to identify the individuals.
