JEWELL COUNTY - A small earthquake rattled part of Jewell County this morning.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, a 2.9 magnitude quake hit at 10:38 a.m. Sunday. It was centered just east of 70 Road approximately four miles south of U.S. Highway 36.
