Lawrence Jarrold Hoffman was born on January 8, 1935 in Gillett, Arkansas, the son of Reinhold and Altie Flaherty Hoffman. He died on January 4, 2023 at the Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit, Kansas at the age of 87.

Larry grew up and attended schools in Benton, Arkansas, where he graduated from high school in 1954.

Following graduation, he attended college before joining the United States Air Force in 1954. During his military career, he was primarily involved with explosive ordinance detail, including munitions systems and nuclear weapons, as well as training, managing, and supervising at various Air Force bases in the United States. He earned many medals and ribbons throughout his career, and he retired from the Air Force in 1980.

Relatives included a halfbrother, Ervin Hoffman; and halfsisters, Erma, Mary, and Bernice.

Larry is survived by his wife Teresa; two sons, Gerald and Mark; grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 14 at the Cawker City United Methodist Church. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.

Memorials may be given to the Cawker City Senior Center.
