Multiple counties in our area are under dense fog advisories.
The National Weather Service in Hastings, Neb., has issued a dense fog advisory in effect until noon Tuesday that includes the following counties in our area.
Jewell County
Mitchell County
Visibility is forecast to be around one quarter mile in dense fog.
Redevelopment or persistence of dense fog is likely this evening through Tuesday morning across much of the area. In addition, with temperatures dropping below or remaining below freezing, fog may create slick spots on area roadways. Please note that visibility could vary considerably within the Advisory area, with some areas being worse off than others, and that dense fog issues could begin and end at different times during the overnight and morning hours depending on exact location.
Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility, along with possible slick spots from freezing fog are expected. If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

Clay County
Cloud County
Republic County
Visibility is forecast to be one quarter to one half mile in dense fog.
Temperatures remain below freezing and may result in slick spots, especially on bridges and overpasses.
